Chapter 18:The search

Itami pov
"Does everyone have their phones?"I asked
Everyone nodded.
"Alright,if you find Ace or you're in trouble,ring me or the others."
"But Itami."Sabo spoke up."What about you?You'll be alone!How are you gonna manage by yourself?"
"I'll be fine.Anyway,Kira & Marco go look around A block & B block.Sabo & Luffy you guys take care of the technology block & the art block.I'll handle C block & the PE area."

And so we all spread out.

Ace pov
"So it was you.."

Shr grinned down at me,her eyes filled with wicked,twisted humor.

"I truly do love you Ace,far more than that pathetic excuse of a girlfriend."

"Do not.."I growl."TALK SHIT ABOUT ITAMI!...Ever."

She bit her bottom lip & clenched her small female hands into fists.(NTRH) had salty tears dripping down her acne splattered cheeks.

"Then if I can't have you...."

(NTRH) slammed her fist down on the table,making the table wobble in shock.

"Then Itami can't have you either."

I think she said that phrase wrong.....

(NTRH) spun on her heel & went over to the door.She opened it up-

'Wait!It's open!I can see outside the door!'

Before she shut-or should I say slammed the door shut,I had a quick glimpse of the outside world.
Outside,I could kind of tell that this room was down one of the many corridors at this school.On the walls I could faintly make out that there was a banner,I only saw 2 words.
And then the door was closed,and it made a clicking noise.

Locked in again...

'Alright....maybe I could try & figure out where I am in the school.'

Itami pov
I walked downstairs towards the 1st floor of C block.I went down the corridor & went through every door that was there.

A lot of the time,I found classes that were in there so I've had to open a lot of the doors by looking through a crack.Other times I either found empty classrooms,or supply closets.

Then a sudden thought occurred.

'Does Ace even have his cell?'

Why didn't I think this sooner?How stupid can I be?

I got out my phone & dialed Ace's phone number.

Ace pov
I didn't realize I had fallen asleep till I woke up.

I was awoken by my phone,something that I had forgotten about after a period of time.
I found my phone in my pocket & found that it was Itami who was calling.

'Yes!'

I instantly picked up.

"Hello?Itami?"
"Oh thank god.Ace!You picked up!I'm so worried about you!"

I felt tears in my eyes & light smile danced on my lips.

"I-I'm worried about you as well.Oh god-"
"Are you okay?Are you hurt?"The angel asked frantically
I lightly chuckle."Sort of...not really.I've been locked up in a room without food or water."
Itami gasped on the other side."What?!Do you know what sort of room you're in?!"

I looked around & took in the details of the room.

'I think this is a sort of classroom or something.'

"I think I'm either in a classroom,storage room or a supply closet...a really big supply closet.But what about you?Where are you?"
"The first floor of C block."She says

C block?!I was there before I was kidnapped!

'Maybe I'm in C block..'

"I think I might be in C block.I was down there before I was knocked out."
I heard her growl on the other end."I'll find whoever did this to you....but right now I gotta find you!Tell me if you ever hear footsteps okay?"
"Definitely.I really want some meat."

We stayed on each other's phones.A couple of times I'd hear footsteps,but Itami would say she's nowhere near a door.
Sometimes (NTRH) would come & grab some stuff & walk out.

'She's acting as if I wasn't there!What the fuck?'

"She's gone again."I whispered to the speaker
"Did she notice you?"
"No.She didn't even batt an eyelash at me!She really sucks at kidnapping."
I swear I could feel Itami smile on the other side of the phone.

"Wait wait wait...I cam hear footsteps!Are you by a door?"
"Yes!"

I could hear the person outside quicken their pace over to my door.My heart leapt when I heard the sound of the doorknob turning.

And then the door opened.

"Ace!"

It was Itami!

She hung up her phone & held the door open.I quickly stumbled out of my sitting position & ran outside.Itami kicked the door shut & hugged me tight.

"I was so worried about you...."She cried
I stroked her hair."Shhh...I'm here now.We're both safe.."
She pulled back."Where did you even go?!And don't lie!"

I sighed."Well...I was never running an errand for a teacher.I was trying to find (NTRH).I figured that she was the one who started spreading rumors about you,since you punched her in the face at the ball.I wanted to just stop watching you getting hurt.But Itami,I'm sorry for lying to you.I didn't want to see you hurt."

Itami leaned towards me & gave me a surprise kiss.

'Is it just me,cause Itami tastes like raspberries with a hint of chocolate milk.'

Sweetness with a sugary blend.That's her kiss.That's Itami's kiss.

'No one else can taste like this but her.'

Itami pulled back & stroked my cheek.
"You're so good.You're so good to me.Ace,you didn't have to hunt down the rumor spreader,I could've done that by myself.But,I appreciate that you're trying to help me."She spoke softly
"I was just so worried about you..."I sigh
She kissed my forehead."Ya big worry wart.I love ya!"

Itami pov
It was after school.A whole heap of the student body were outside,watching (NTRH) being dragged towards the police car by policemen.

"Hey it's that girl who got punched in the facd at the ball!"
"Why is she being dragged away?"
"She was arrested for kidnapping that Ace guy."
"Isn't Ace dating the oldest Lucifer-Roza child?"
"Yeah,she punched (NTRH) in the face."
"I think she did that because (NTRH) made this weird noise & it shocked Lucifer-Roza into punching her in the face!"
"Suggoi!Lucifer-Roza's are so cool!"
"I never liked (NTRH) anyway.."

I smirked as I heard everyone talk about (NTRH) being a bitch.Quite satisfactory if you ask me.

"You started those rumors up,didn't you Itami-ya?"
My smirk grew."I have no idea what you're talking about,Trafalgar."
Trafalgar smirked back at me."Bad little girl.."

I pushed off of the wall that I was leaning on & waved off Trafalgar's comment.

"Whatever.."
