A/N: Last 6-7 chapters. Do you guys want an epilogue?

The startling ring of my phone snapped me out of my daydreams, as I sat cross-legged on my bed, deep in thought. I crawled over to the edge of the bed, and flipped it open.

"Hello?" I answered.

"We haven't seen you in forever!" Reiji's voice exclaimed, "where've you been?"

I glanced at the calendar on the wall, "it's only been 2 days. I've been busy just.......thinking."

I heard a deep sigh, "don't think about it too much, Akiko. Don't tell me you haven't seen him ever since you talked to me........?"

I sheepishly laughed, "well.........we just never had the chance to."

"Meet me at the park in 10 minutes," he suddenly ordered.

"What? Why? Reiji, I-" I realized that I was no longer talking to anyone. The beeping tone started, and I hung up reluctantly.

Ever since I talked to Reiji, I hadn't felt exactly comfortable to talk to him or Ai. It just seemed like the secret that the three of us shared seemed too........personal for me to be able to talk about it that openly to either of them. I still couldn't look at Ai in the eyes, that was for sure.

But who knew what type of tantrum Reiji would throw if I left him there alone. Sighing, I quickly grabbed my coat and my purse before walking towards the park.

It was the time for everyone to eat lunch, and so that meant the streets were as crowded as ever. I absently tapped my foot impatiently as I waited for the street light to change, glancing at my watch.

"Akiko?"

Shoot. It was his voice.

I slowly turned around, and put on a smile, "hey, Ai! What a coincidence!"

Instead of greeting me like I had expected, he frowned, "too much of a coincidence. Did Reiji call you out?"

"Yeah......." I finally realized what Reiji was trying to do, "that little bastard. I'm going to kill him."

"Why? Did you have something to say to me?" he questioned, tugging me aside gently so we wouldn't be blocking the sidewalk.

"N-no," I stuttered, "um..........we just haven't seen each other in a while. How've you been?"

"Good," was his usual, one-word response.

"Um well..........if Reiji's not going to meet me.......I better go back home.......composing and stuff......." I gestured lamely to where my house was.

"Don't you want to eat?" he offered. I blinked.

"Uh........sure?"

"What do you want to eat?" he asked, starting to walk on the sidewalk again. I quickly followed him.

"Um......your choice. Sushi?" I brightened up at the thought of yummy sushi.

"Sure," he nodded, "let's go."

"But why're you eating with me?" I asked in confusion.

"I missed you," he said bluntly.

"What?" I blinked.

"Well, that's what Reiji tells me, at least. If you haven't seen someone for a few days, you'll miss them, right?"

"S-sure....." I muttered.

We walked for a few moments in silence before he turned to me again, "what happened that day in the book store?"

"You remembered?" I asked.
