Just Smile Forever

I laid down on the soft grass, enjoying the gentle breeze that played with my hair and danced away. I could hear the laughter of children nearby, and the sound of people chatting as they casually walked around the beautiful park.

My phone indicated I had gotten a new message, and I opened it up.

From: Reiji

Back from our vacation in Hawaii ^_^ took a bunch of pictures, so make sure to come over soon to take a look!

So they were back already.

It had been 3 months ever since the private funeral we had held for Aine. Since the public thought he had died years ago, we made an agreement to not make this a huge scandel and just instead held a private ceremony with the ones that knew him best.

After the funeral, Mr. Saotome felt like it was best for Quartet Night to go on a vacation before continuing their idol activities. I knew that he was mostly worried about Reiji, but Reiji seemed to be making a fine recovery. I was invited as well, but I declined as I wanted to enjoy time to myself for a little while.

I peered up at the blue sky, "Aine...wherever you are, you can hear me, right?"

A gust of wind responded to me, and I smiled before continuing.

"Reiji and I miss you a lot everyday. But we've tried to do as you said. Find our own happiness. Reiji has been starting to write his own songs lately. He's been taking lessons from me. He says that he wants the world to hear the songs he's composed, for them to feel the emotions he's trying to convey," I laughed faintly at the thought, "though he finally discovered writing songs wasn't easy, now I think he's got the hang of it. He's a lot better now, and a lot happier."

I closed my eyes, and let out a small breath before continuing, "Reiji and I also make sure to visit the professor ever so often. He really loved you dearly, but now I think he's finally starting to move on as well."

"And as for me? Well..."

"Who're you talking to?" I opened my eyes as Ai laid down beside me.

"Myself," I replied with a small mischievous smile.

He gave me a disbelieving look, but nodded all the same. He turned his eyes back to the clouds, and smiled.

"Now I can finally see them," he commented.

"See what?" I questioned.

"The shapes that clouds can make," Ai replied in wonder.

I bit back a smile, and turned my head to look at him, "I'm glad. How was your vacation?"

"Reiji took a lot of pictures...Ranmaru got pushed into the water by Reiji, while Camus finally got tanned. So basically, it was an amazing vacation," Ai smiled back.

"Reiji already told me to go over to look at the pictures he took," I laughed, "so I'll be able to relive your vacation through his photos."

"That'll be fun," Ai rolled his eyes, and I casually hit him on the arm, cracking up with laughter.

"So you came back a while ago?" I questioned

"Yeah, ever since last night," Ai nodded.

"And how did you know where I was?" I asked with another playful smile.

"Reiji," Ai replied casually. Ugh, that stalker! How did he always know where I was??

"You turned on location services on your phone," Ai answered my unspoken question.

My mouth fell open as I opened the settings on my phone. Sure enough, location services was on. I hastily turned it off, and huffed in frustration.
