"Mr. Saotome has yet to tell how to choose a partner," Mikaze-senpai noted, looking around with a rather blank expression.
"You don't need to learn how to do it! Just pick a girl from the crowd~" Kotobuki-senpai replied happily.
"Can we please hurry and get this over with?" Kurosaki-senpai half-growled. He looked around at the girls who were surrounding him, and grabbed the one that was the closest to him. And who might that be but Amayo-chan?
"I choose you." Kurosaki-senpai announced flatly, still holding Amayo-chan's arm. She looked rather frightened, but nevertheless still shot me and Akira-chan a happy smile. Well, at least she gave me a happy smile. It kinda looked like she was giving Akira-chan a triumphant smile.
"I'm Amayo Furoju. Nice to meet you," Amayo-chan greeted in a rather timid voice for someone like her.
Camus-senpai heaved a sigh, his eyes fell on someone I couldn't see properly. It was only when he pulled he out of the crowd was when I had realized it was Serika-chan, this quiet, shy girl from my composer classes.
"And who might you be?" Camus-senpai prompted when Serika-chan didn't speak.
"S-Serika Tamiko. Nice t-to meet you," She stuttered, her nerves obviously getting over her again.
"Do not be shy! Idols and composers cannot be shy in the real world. Other people will quickly overtake those who are too scared to do anything, no matter what skills or talents they have," Camus-senpai instructed her. Serika-chan nodded rather meekly, but I could tell that she had gotten the
message."Could we walk forward a bit more?" Akira-chan whispered to me, and pulled me forward a few steps to where Amayo-chan was last standing. She was now holding Kurosaki-senpai's hand, looking happier than ever. She was way more excited than she would ever admit.
"I kinda want to get chosen too," I whispered in reply. Akira-chan squeezed my hand and gave me a small smile.
"Ne Ai-Ai, let's choose our partners together!" Kotobuki-senpai suggested, cheerfully tugging on Mikaze-senpai's sleeve.
Mikaze-senpai rolled his eyes in response, but allowed Kotobuki-senpai to drag him towards the middle of the circle that had gathered around them.
"Hmmm~do you wanna go first?" Kotobuki-senpai asked, looking at his fellow friend.
"Just pick two girls from the crowd," Mikaze-senpai replied bluntly.
"Ok!" Kotobuki-senpai spun around, and ended up facing me and Akira-chan. With a wide smile on his face, he grabbed both of us and pulled us into the circle where the two other partners stood.
"These two seem perfect! What are your names?" Kotobuki-senpai asked with a wide grin, looking at Akira-chan and I excitedly.
"I'm Akira Syonoi," Akira-chan automatically replied.
"And I'm Akiko Sayaka," I added in. Akira-chan flashed me a bright smile, which almost seemed to match the one Kotobuki-senpai gave to me as well. Mikaze-senpai just stared at the two of us with a blank expression.
"Come on, let's dance~" Kotobuki-senpai sang, grabbing Akira-chan. That left me standing awkwardly in front of Mikaze-senpai, who was still looking at me with no expression.
A slow song, exactly on cue, started playing. Mikaze-senpai stepped closer, and placed his hands on my waist without a word. I shakily placed my hands on his shoulders, and we drew closer so the distance wouldn't make the dancing uneasy to do.
We swayed back and forth wordlessly, just hearing Kotobuki-senpai and Akira-chan laugh beside us. I took a deep breath.
"Mikaze-senpai, I really like your group song," I said rather timidly, glancing awkwardly into his aqua eyes.
