Chapter nine

Levi's POV****

At around 1 the next day Eren knocked on my door.

"What?" I answered the events of last night were still messing up my train of thought.

"Grumpy pants. What's got you so grumpy?" Eren asks as he let's himself in.

"Why are you really friends with me Eren? I mean I'm boring, I don't express any emotion, I'm bad at human interaction..." I ask him looking at my feet.

"You are all those things but your also interesting, nice and funny." Eren told me.

"I'm not funny." I stated.

"You so are!" Eren told me as we took a seat on my bed.

"Hey why weren't you at the Halloween party last night?" Eren asked once he had stopped laughing.

"I said it once I'll say it again, Party's aren't my thing. Plus I've never even celebrated Halloween." I answered.

"What?! You've never celebrated Halloween?!" Eren practically yelled at me.

"Well, I grew up in a super old mansion that was really creepy." I explained thinking back about my family's mansion. "So it was kind of always Halloween there."

"Oh..." Eren said akwardly.

"I was going to go but then I realized I'd have to actually interact with people." I told him.

"You don't like socializing much do you?" Eren asked smiling cutely.

NO JUST SMILING STOP THINKING LIKE THAT LEVI!

"Think of it this way, if you search up anti-social in the dictionary my picture will show up." I explained.

"But you talk to me so you aren't as anti-social as you used to be!" Eren said positively.

"Yeah, I suppose so." I chuckled lightly.

Eren's POV****

OH MY GOD DID HE JUST LAUGH?!

DID I JUST MAKE LEVI ACKERMAN LAUGH WITHOUT EVEN TRYING?!

"Did you just... laugh?" I asked him carefully although my brain was flipping out.

He thought for a moment before saying,

"Yeah, congratulations, you just made Levi Ackerman laugh for the first time since he was... 7... I think."

I mentally gasped at that.

Levi hasn't laughed since he was 7?

"Well here forth I make it my goal to make... Corporal Levi laugh and smile at any chance I get." I stood up and put my right hand over my heart in a mock salute.

"Thanks... I guess Jaeger." His lips twitching up into a small smile as he looked down at his lap.

At that moment I really wanted to kiss him.

But I didn't.

Because I have no guts.

At all.

I thought I had guts.

Guess I was wrong.

"So what did you do last night?" I asked once I was done mentally yelling at myself for not kissing him then and there.

"Nothing much." He replied his, face quickly going back to its usual emotionless facade.

"Oh ok." I said softly lying back on his bed and staring at his ceiling.
