*Ashlee's POV*

So, Austin asked me out yesterday. I said yes, but I'm also wondering what Heather is going to think. She asked if we could hang out Saturday night, but I lied saying that I was seeing cousins that were visiting. I couldn't tell her I was going out with him. She'd kill me. But I let it slide. She may be my best friend, but she can't control me. He likes me and for once, I'm fine with it.

I was at school by my locker when Heather came over.

"Hey girl."

"Hey."

"What's up?"

"Oh nothing. Trying to figure out what I'm wearing Saturday night."

"Oh yeah. You're seeing your cousins. Which ones are coming?"

"Um, the ones from New York."

"You never told me you had cousins in New York."

"Well we don't see them much. And we rarely talk about them. I mean, we love them, but it's hard to see them because they live so far."

"Florida is not that far from New York."

"Well, my mom considers it far."

"Oh. Well I still wish you could hang out that night. I was hoping we could go to the movies. Iron Man 3 is coming out Friday and I really want to see it."

"I know. I do, too. But my mom said I can't skip out on this because they're only in town for two days."

"Oh. Well it's ok."

*Bell Rings*

"Well I gotta go. See you later, ok?"

"K."

"Bye girl."

"Bye."

I closed my locker and started heading off to class when a pair of strong arms wrapped around my waist.

"Hey beautiful."

"Hey. I didn't see you earlier today. I thought you weren't coming."

"You think I'd skip out on the opportunity to see my girlfriend?"

"Well, I didn't agree to girlfriend yet. We haven't even gone out on our first date yet. After a few, if you ask, I may agree. But for now, I'm just your girl."

"Either way you're mine." he smiled.

We walked into class, which was geometry, and he let go of me as I sat down.

"Good morning, class. I hope you finished your homework. If you did, please pass it to the front."

I grabbed the papers being passed up when I noticed one name that's usually not in the pile.

"Austin, you actually did your homework?" I asked excited.

"Yes, I did it. Thanks to you, I understood how to do it."

"That's something new."

I handed the papers to Mr. Dixon and he looked really surprised.

"Austin James. Nice to see you're actually doing school work now."

"Thanks."

"Maybe you're actually trying to do work so you won't get kicked off the football team."

We worked in groups during class and luckily, I got in a group with Austin. But the problem was, his friend Alex was in the group, too. And I am NOT very fond of him. See, he hates me, but it was only because I turned him down when he asked me out. He didn't take it really well either. He started ignoring me, but I'm guessing he tried to get me to go out with him when he joined the football team. He changed his attitude and everything towards me. Now, he's just a jerk.
