Chapter 25

*Flashback*

"How about you come with me?"

"What?"

"To rehearsals. I want you to come with me."

"Really?" I asked, smiling bigger than usual.

"Yeah. I want you there."

"Sure."

"Awesome."

He stood up, and I guess my leg was stuck out, because he tripped and landed right on top of me. And we were really close, too.

"Sorry about that."

"No, it's fine."

I smiled and looked up staring straight into his eyes when he started to lean in and....

*Present Time*

*Ashlee's POV*

He started to lean in and he kissed me. I didn't know what to do at first but I eventually gave in and kissed him back. I pulled away after a few seconds and we just stared at each other.

"Umm.. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that." he said.

"No, it's fine."

Am I supposed to say I liked it? I mean, of course I did, but what about Austin and I? Well, he's becoming a jerk again. Should I forget about him? I dont know. I have to choose. Colton, the guy who I voted loads of times for on American Idol and has been my idol since then, or Austin, the guy who I used to hate, but ended up loving with all my heart basically just to get it broken again? Apparently I zoned out, because I came back to reality with Colton waving his hand in front of my face.

"Hey, you ok?"

"Yeah, um. I'm fine. Let's just go."

"Ok."

I left it at that.

*Austin's POV*

I was taking a walk trying to clear my mind for a while when I saw Ashlee and Colton walking towards his car from her house. What is he doing there? I hid behind somewhere so they wouldn't notice me. Yes, you can call it spying, but I love her and I need to know why he's with her. I watched as he opened the door for her to get it. Classic, I thought. He drove off after Colton got in the car and I came out from my hiding spot. What is with him? They just met like a week and they're this close with each other. I'm gonna get her back.

*Ashlee's POV*

We got to the arena and I followed Colton backstage and saw everyone that was here last week. I was talking to the girl from Love and The Outcome while Colton was getting ready.

"So, he's making you choose between him and Colton?"

"Yeah. It's ridiculous. One minute, he loves me, or loved, I don't know, and the next minute he's being bossy and telling me to make a decision that's gonna affect our relationship either way. Plus, he's going back to how he used to be."

"What do you mean?"

"I used to hate him because he was a player and a jerk. Then he changed for me, but now he's gone back and I just, I dont know."

"Listen, Ashlee. I know what you're going through, ok? It's possibly one of the hardest decision a girl has to make sometimes. But I know it's cheesy, but go with you're heart."

"Yeah, my best friend told me the same thing."

"It's true, though. You'll find the answer somewhere, I'm sure."

"Thanks."

"No problem. I gotta go, but we'll talk later."

"Alright."

I smiled and Colton came back again.

"Hey." he said, smiling.

"Hey, what's up?"

"Not much. I gotta ask you something."

"Ok. What is it?"

"Unfortunately, this tour is gonna end."

"I know."

"But.."

"But?"

"I'm going on my own tour."

"Colton, that's awesome!"

"I know!"

"Wait, what does this have to do with me?"

"I want you to come with me."

"What?"

"I want you to come on tour with me."

"But, I'm not even done with school."

"Don't worry, it's not until the summer."

"Colton, I-"

"It's ok. I'm gonna give you time to decide."

"Ok."

"Wait, he said what?"

"He wants me to go on tour with him!"

After the concert, Colton dropped me off and I called Heather first thing.

"But, you know if you do, Austin will flip out and get mad."

"Probably. But, I don't know what I'm gonna do yet."

"When is it?"

"He said it's not until summer, so I'll be done with school for the year."

"Did you answer immediately?"

"No, he's given me time to think about it."

"Why would he ask you to go on tour?"

"I-I don't know. We've only been talking for a week and-"

"And what?"

"You don't think he likes me do you?"

"I don't see why not. You're pretty, smart, nice."

"No, not by all that. Well maybe, but-"

"But what?"

"He kissed me today."

"Wait, Colton kissed you?"

"Yes, we were about to go to rehearsals and he tripped and fell on top of me and he just kissed me."

"You kissed him back, didn't you?"

"What was I supposed to do?"

"I don't know, push him off?"

"Look, Colton's a nice guy and I didn't just wanna pull away."

"Ok, If you say yes and go on tour with him, Austin will go crazy or whatever. If you say no, Austin may try and get you back. Say yes and go with Colton, you could possibly have a new boyfriend. Say no and he'll probably be heartbroken."

"I don't wanna upset either of them, though."

"Actions have consequences, Ash."

"I know."

"He said you have time to think. Use that time wisely."

"I will. Thanks girl. You're the best."

"I know. See ya girl."

"Bye."

I smiled and hung up. I guess I need to figure out who to choose. Austin or Colton.
