----FLASHBACK----
*Austin's POV*
I was with Alex and my other friends the day I was told Ashlee would be my tutor and we were doing random stuff until Alex dared me to do something I never wanted to.
"Hey Austin, I dare you that you couldn't get Ashlee in a month."
"No, man. I'm not doing that to her."
"Come on, man."
"And if I win?"
"100 bucks."
"And if I lose?"
He paused for a second to think of something before he said, "I get to have her."
"No way, Alex."
"Then you better get her by the end of the month."
"Fine, I will."
---Present Time---
*Ashlee's POV*
Heather was back at school soon and I became good friends with Samantha again and we were by my locker.
"So he really did that?" Heather asked.
"Yes, he did. It was the best date ever." I replied, smiling.
"He really has changed." Samantha said.
"Yeah. I'm glad you finally accepted him, Heather."
"Yeah, me too actually. He really loves you. But just remember I can still beat him if he hurts you."
I laughed then said, "Yes, I know."
I smiled and the bell rang and we walked to geometry. We walked in and Austin already had the seat beside him open. I smiled, sitting down.
"Hey." I said to him.
"Hey beautiful." he said, smiling.
I blushed, as usual and took out my things needed for the class.
"So, wanna hang out after school?" he asked me.
"Sure. I have to help you study for next week's test. You can come to my place if you want."
"Perfect."
------After School------
I headed out to my car and already saw Austin standing beside it.
"What are you doing?"
"We're hanging out remember? After you help me study."
"Right. How'd you get here before me?"
"I ran."
"Ok then."
We both got in and I drove off to my house.
"What happened to your job at El Agave?" he asked.
"I may have gotten fired."
"You got fired?"
"Yeah."
"How?"
"Well, one of the customers wasn't quite satisfied and then he was rude, so I kinda, went off on him."
"Wow."
I drove up to my house and got out going inside.
"My mom's not here so we have it to ourselves. Wanna study in here or upstairs?"
"Here's fine."
"Ok." I said, smiling.
I set my things down and so did Austin.
"Hey, Ash, I'll be right back I think I left something in your car."
"Alright."
He went outside and his phone vibrated on the table and I picked it up and saw it was from Alex.
Alex: hey man, month's almost up.. did u get her or not?
What did that mean? I texted him back:
What?
Alex: the bet. did you forget? You have a month to get Ashlee or its my turn.
He made a bet on me?! I can't believe him. So he doesn't really love me at all. I saw him walk in and I obviously was crying because he looked worried.
"Ashlee? What's wrong?"
"I can't believe you! You're such a freaking liar!"
"What? Ashlee I--"
"I thought you loved me?!"
"I do, Ash."
"Apparently not."
"What are you talking about?"
"Don't think you don't know. You made a damn bet with Alex that you could get me in a month?!"
"Ash, I didn't mean--"
"Don't call me that."
I grabbed everything of his and threw it at him.
"Get out!"
"Ashlee, I-"
"I said get out. I don't wanna talk to you anymore!"
"Fine."
*Austin's POV*
I took my stuff and walked out the door really mad at myself. I looked through my phone of the pics of Ashlee and I when I saw Alex's text. I can't believe him! I'm gonna talk with him. This is all my fault. I should've never agreed to that bet. I lost the most important thing in my life and I may never get her back.
