*Ashlee's POV*

"We're leaving? Now?"

"Not right now, but in like an hour. We need to get Samantha so we can go."

"Umm, okay."

I went to the class Sam was in and knocked lightly until someone opened the door.

"Yes?"

"I need to see Samantha. Someone's checking her out."

She looked at me weirdly and got up grabbing her things and walked out.

"Who's picking me up?"

"Colton's here. He said they're leaving early for tour and he came to get us."

"We're leaving now? But I don't even have my bags with me."

"He said we have like an hour so we can stop by and go get both of our things."

"What about Heather?"

"I'm gonna call her after school and we can say goodbye or unless she shows up before we leave."

"It's not even the end of school and he said it would be after. What do we do?"

"We'll probably finish with online classes or something."

"Okay."

After telling Colton we we're going to drive to our houses and get our stuff, we went to my car and got in quickly hurrying to Sam's first. I helped her grab her things and put them in my car.

"Dang, Sam. Did you pack your whole bedroom?"

"I didn't know how much I'd need."

"We're only gone for the summer. How much did you think you need?"

"I don't know, okay? I just threw some stuff in a suitcase and a couple bags."

"Okay, okay. Let's just get to my house and get my things, then we'll meet Colton back up at the school."

"Fine."

We drove off to my house and school was about over now, so Sam called Heather and told her to wait by his bus outside so we could say goodbye to her. I'm just wondering what Austin's gonna do. Shaking the thought away, I went upstairs and grabbed my stuff, which, luckily, wasn't as heavy as Sam's. I brought it to my car then went back to my mom and hugged her tightly.

"I'm gonna miss you this summer, Ashlee."

"I'll miss you too, mom."

"Promise you'll call, text, video chat and whatever else you kids use these days. Just at least let me know you're okay."

"I'll be fine, mom. Trust me, I'll call everyday if you want just to talk to you."

"Alright. Have fun. Make sure that boy treats you right."

I smiled. Typical mom. "He will, I know it."

"Okay. Bye Ashlee."

"Bye mom."

We hugged one more time before I had to go. I teared up a little and walked to my car before she could notice and got in sighing.

"What's wrong?" Sam asked me. She must've noticed.

"I just, I've never been gone this long from my mom. I know she'll be alone all summer and I hope I made the right choice by saying yes."

"You did. Look with Colton Dixon being your boyfriend, of course he's gonna want you to go with him or he'd miss you. But you said you wanted to have a good summer by staying away from Austin. That's what you're getting aren't you?"
