*Ashlee's POV*
I sat in my room after Austin left crying for who knows how long. He was the first guy I really ever loved and now I lost him. All because of a stupid bet him and that jerk Alex made. I can't believe him. I did the one thing I thought of and called Heather. I dialed her number and she picked up quickly.
"Hey girl. What's up?"
"Can you come over?"
"Why? What happened?"
"I'll explain all of it when you get here. Please?"
"Yeah, I'll be there soon."
"Ok."
I hung up and went downstairs and sat on the couch with the one thing I wanted most: ice cream. I sat there forever waiting on Heather until my doorbell rang. I got up and opened it seeing her. She suddenly got worried when she saw that I had been crying.
"What happened? Are you ok? Did Austin hurt you? Do I need to hurt him?"
"Heather. Calm down. I'll tell you everything."
She walked inside and sat down on the couch as I did.
"Ok, he did something. You usually only eat ice cream when you're sad."
"Ok. So, Austin and I came back here to study, and he said he left something in my car. So he went out to get it, and while he was out, Alex texted him something about saying the month was almost up. Being me, I texted back asking what he meant but he didn't know it was me. Then, he texted back saying the month was almost up for the bet to get me. He made a freaking bet about me, Heather!"
"Oh my god. I can't believe he did that to you. Especially after last night."
"I know. He's such a jerk. I can't believe I actually fell into his trap."
That's exactly what happened. It was his trap to reel me in like a fish on a hook. I thought he actually loved me, too.
"He's so dead. I'm gonna talk to him."
"Heather, no."
"Why not?! He hurt you, Ashlee. Don't you get it? He does that to every girl he sees. I was one of them, too. I just didn't want it to happen to you. He deserves this."
"You're right. I'm sorry."
"It's fine. Please let me do this."
"Go ahead. He needs it."
"Thank you. I'll see you later."
*Heather's POV*
I walked out of Ashlee's house and drove down the road and saw Austin sitting in the park. Good thing no one else was there. He's about to get what he needs. I drove up and parked getting out and walked straight up to him.
"How could you freaking do that to her?! She loved you! I can't believe you made a stupid bet about her! Why would you do that?"
"Listen, Heather. You've got it all wrong. I really love Ashlee."
"That's crap. She said she's been crying for hours since she kicked you out. You're the only person she ever really loved."
"I know. It was stupid of me to. I swear I never wanted to hurt her."
"Stop lying. I know you did. Just like all of the other girls you've been with."
I was so mad that my arm just kinda swung and I punched him in the jaw. He stumbled backwards a little then looked at me, wide-eyed.
"Hurt her again, and it'll be worse next time. Better yet, just stay away from her."
"I swear I didn't--"
"Just shut the frock up ok? No one cares anymore. Neither will Ashlee."
"I know Ashlee loves me and I love her. I will get her back."
"I highly doubt it. Just wait until I tell everyone you got punched by a girl."
I smirked walking off back to my car and drove back to Ashlee's. He deserved it for hurting my best friend. She deserves someone so much better. I got back and walked back in to see Ashlee still sitting on the couch.
"Hey, Ash."
"Hey. How'd it go?"
"Oh, I kinda told him off."
"How bad?"
"Cussed him out a lot and put my fist to his jaw pretty hard."
"Wow."
"Oh, there's more. I told him it'd be worse if he hurt you again. Which, hopefully won't be for a while."
"I hope not. I don't wanna go near him, or talk to him."
"That's my girl."
"That's why were friends. A guy breaks my heart, you break them."
*Ashlee's POV*
But the truth is, I still kinda love him.
