*Austin's POV*
After school, I went to the place I was taking Ashlee and set up everything the way it's supposed to be. Tonight is going to be perfect. Ashlee really means a lot to me. Could I really love her?
*Ashlee's POV*
I drove home and did my homework that was needed to be done and Austin said he'd pick me up at 7. When I was done with my homework, it was 5 already. Two hours left. I got up and took a quick shower and looked through my closet trying to figure out what I was going to wear. I went with something casual because he told me it wasn't fancy. I chose my floral cardigan with a white top underneath that had a black belt around the waist and my dark skinny jeans with my black flats. I changed quickly and then dried my hair, curling it also. Then I did my makeup, applying some mascara with some light eye shadow and blush then my lipstick. Done. Finally. I looked at the clock and it was ten 'til 7. Perfect timing. I went downstairs and saw my mom in the kitchen.
"Hey mom."
"Hey sweetie. What are you all dressed up for?"
"Umm.. may be going out with Austin tonight."
"Really?" She asked smiling widely.
I smiled back at her. "Yeah, mom. He asked me out today."
"Aww. One condition?"
"Yes, I'll tell you what happens when I get back."
"Ok."
I smiled and heard the doorbell ring and my smile got bigger as I opened the door. "Hey, Austin."
"Hey. You look... amazing."
"Thanks. You don't look too bad yourself."
"Thanks. All just for you."
I smiled blushing a little. "I feel special."
"You should be."
He held out his hand for me, smiling. "May I?"
I smiled and took his hand. "You may."
He led me out to his car, opening the door for me.
"Thank you." I smiled, getting in.
After he got in, we took about a 30 minute drive to somewhere where of course, he wouldn't tell me.
"Austin, can you just tell me?"
"No, Ash. I told you it's a surprise."
"Fine. How long are we?"
"We're here. But don't open your eyes yet."
I kept them shut as I heard him open his door and get out then heard my door open and got out as he held onto me.
"Just keep walking, follow me."
"How long is this path?"
"Not long. Ok, stop."
"Can I look?"
"Go ahead."
I opened my eyes and the sight literally took my breath away. We were at a lake and there was a tree with lights hanging all around it and a picnic set right under the tree. It was amazing.
"Austin, this is beautiful."
"Just like you."
I smiled blushing and walked around under the tree and sat on the picnic blanket.
"I love it. You didn't have to go through all this for me."
"I wanted to. You mean a lot to me and I really like you, Ash."
"You've changed so much since then. I like this Austin way better."
"Ashlee?"
"Yeah?"
"I-I love you."
I looked at him kinda shocked wondering if he was serious.
"Are you..?"
"I'm serious, Ashlee. I love you."
"I love you, too."
He smiled widely and we both leaned in at the same time. Our lips connected and I could feel the sparks between us at the time. I knew he felt it to because he deepened the kiss a little more but I stopped and pulled away.
"Sorry. I can't."
"No, its fine. It was my fault."
"Its ok. But, you felt that right?"
"Of course."
I smiled and we had our picnic then he had another surprise.
"What now?"
"This."
I smiled at him and he turned on the radio from his car and, of course, a slow song had to be playing. He held out his hand for me smiling.
"May I have this dance?"
I smiled taking his hand.
"I'd be honored."
He pulled me close to him as we swayed side to side with the music and listening to him sing lightly in my ear. It was perfect. I smiled and we stopped as the song ended and I looked up at him smiling.
"You are amazing. And this date was perfect."
"Not as perfect as you. I love you, Ashlee."
"I love you, too."
I smiled and kissed him one last time before we got everything and packed up.
*Austin's POV*
Tonight was perfect. Just like how I wanted it to be. I couldn't ask for anyone else but Ashlee. But I hate doing this to her.
