Unrequited Love

Chapter 1

Cassie's POV

Nagising ako sa tunog ng aking alarm clock. I checked the time, 6:30 na pala. May mahigit isang oras pa ko para maghanda. I had to move fast para hindi ako malate sa school. About 45 minutes kasi ang travel time ko and today unfortunately marks the start of my first semester as a Civil Engineering student.

By the way, I'm Cassie. I am not a nerd and definitely not one of those popular lads in school. Hindi ako sanay na maraming nagbabantay sa bawat kilos ko so I try my best to be one of those low-profiled students.

Nakarating ako sa school mga 15 minutes bago yung first class ko which is a little early. I checked my things which is naging habit ko na since highschool. Weird pero ayaw na ayaw ko kasing may nakakalimutan.

Nagtour na ako sa buong university noong enrollment ko to make sure na hindi ako mawawala sa first day ko. Habang naglalakad ako chinecheck ko yung room numbers para masiguro ko na tama ang papasukan ko. Tiningnan ko iyong relo ko.

10 minutes..I felt a little nervous pero hindi ko pinahalata. Wala pa kasi akong kaibigan, kahit kakilala wala pa. Pagkakita ko sa room ko, pumasok ako agad. Umupo ako sa seat na nasa third row since middle rows yung favorite seats ko. Not too near...not too far.. naisip ko. I was quietly waiting for our teacher when something caught my eye. I turned my head to the side para tingnan kung ano iyon... and there I saw a beautiful pair of dark brown eyes staring straight into me...

A pair of dark brown eyes and long eyelashes which could seem to see right through my soul. I felt my heart beat faster...dug dug dug dug dug dug... As I stared back parang wala na akong pakialam kung anong nangyayari sa paligid ko. I just stared back. Back at HIM. How long was I staring? Hindi ko rin alam. I was just staring until somebody cleared his throat. "Ehem..." I heard someone say.

"Ermmm, Hi!" sabi niya.
