    SLAP.

Kyouya's eyes snapped open. He held his cheek and sat up quickly. I crouched down in front of him and frowned, "I told you it wasn't that crazy. Why'd you have to go and faint?"

"The newspaper club is unpredictable. We don't know what they will do with this information." He pushed himself up and after a few more minutes, we made it to the club room.

Kyouya flips his frown into his usual smile and goes to give Komatsuzawa the first-aid kit. "Good evening, I hope you didn't find our earlier meeting brash. I only want you to truly understand the severity of the offer you're making. Our conditions are still the same and the host club is not looking for a contract until these facts are met."

"Of course! We'll abide by your conditions if you let us write about you." Komatsuzawa smiled back.

"Well then, you can come interview us tomorrow. How's the injury on your eye coming along?"

"Oh, this is nothing, really. I'm actually thankful because this injury got us a connection with you guys."

"...We sincerely apologize for that." Kyouya places the first-aid kit on the table. "To show our condolences, please use this medicine.  This is the emergency first-aid kit from my family's company."

Komatsuzawa shook his hand but still accepted the medkit graciously. "You really shouldn't have."

    "Well then, please excuse us."

We didn't even get a step in before Komatsuzawa started up again.

"Ah, Ootori-kun. You're the son of the medical equipment manufacturers, the Ootori Group, right?"

Kyouya turned so only his back was facing him, "Our main business is hospital management, actually."

"Then...I'm delighted that we had a chance to get close to you. My father is the president of the Komatsuzawa Publishing Company." Komatsuzawa grinned.

"Yes, I'm aware of that. Is being the chairman of the newspaper club preparation for succeeding your father in the future?"

"However, I have a younger brother, you see. He's a very talented person, and my father plans on letting this brother manage everything in the publishing company after he retires, skipping over me, the elder brother." He started spewing a bunch about his family life, more and more, he seemed to be losing his composure. My heart ached from listening to him go on and on and on. "—But if I can serve as newspaper club chairman at Ouran for all three years, he may reconsider my candidacy as his successor.  You understand, right? I cannot let this club be dissolved, no matter what—"

"—Excuse me." Kyouya opens the door and grabs my arm. As quickly as he opened it, he slammed it behind him.

"Why'd you cut him off?" I asked him.
