/Alexis' POV/

It was the next Monday, the day of the concert to which I was really looking forward. Jesse and I had agreed that I'd meet his mom and sister first before he drove off to the sound check and what not and after he had ensured me a hundred times that there was nothing to worry about I didn't want to fuck the meeting up. I waited at his car when Madison suddenly appeared next to me.

"Hey! Forgot to ask you something about tonight." She said and looked at the ground. "Is your brother coming with you?"

I nodded. "He kinda is our ride tonight, so yeah. But why though?" But she just shrugged and told me Jesse was coming so she'd leave. That was weird, but my boyfriend was really just a few foots away now.

"Hey, Cutie." He smiled and opened the car.

As we were both sitting down I asked him puzzled. "Do you think that... my brother and Madison"

"That they're gonna get together?" He finished my train of thoughts. "I don't know. It could be, since Zach isn't really looking for something serious and she kinda is..." He guessed and drove out of the parking lot.

"Anyways, are you nervous because of the show tonight?" I looked over to him and he replied. "Are you nervous meeting my mom in a few minutes?" Which left me quiet and Jesse put his hand on my thigh with a charming grin.

With the door opening my boyfriend shouted. "Mom! We're here!" And let me into the living room where she stood up from one of the chairs. Jesse's mom was a bit smaller than me with blond brownish hair and a warm smile.

"Hey, you have to be Alexis." She said and I wanted to go for a firm handshake but she immediately took me into a hug.

"Yes, I am. It's so nice to meet you." I answered and she shook her head playfully.

"It's my pleasure- please take a seat." She gestured to the couch where I sat down next to Jesse and had to think of the last time I was here. "So Jesse mentioned you play Volleyball, is that right?"

"Yes, it is. I've joined my school team when I was still in Chicago and wanted to- Oh, hello there." I said to the little girl standing in the doorframe. She had the same brown eyes like Jesse who invited her over.

"Come here, Lea." Slowly she walked over to me and I shook her hand.

"Hi, I'm Alexis."

"I'm Lea. You're his girlfriend right?"

I nodded and heard Jesse's voice again. "Isn't there something you wanted to tell her forever?"

The girl blushed and looked down before mumbling. "I like your hair."

This made me giggle. "I like yours, too!" Then the conversation went on and even though I'm not a big fan of small talk it wasn't that horrible and lasted only about forty minutes, before Jesse had to drive to the place they were playing and so I said goodbye to Mrs. Rutherford and Lea and went with Jesse to his car again.

"Do you want me to drive you?" He asked and I shook my head.

"I'll walk because now the weather is finally bearable and it's almost Christmas."

"Okay, but can I just say how flawlessly you handled all of this?" He snickered and bit his lower lip before leaning forward and kissing me. My hands went to his head and played with his hair. This still felt so right; everything of this. "See you later, Princess." He whispered when we broke apart and I began to walk home.

Once I had half assed all of my homework I began to plan what to wear tonight, but couldn't find anything at all so I got my phone out and dialed Madison's number. "I have an emergency." I stated as soon as she picked up and she replied "A not-knowing-what-to-wear-emergency?"

"Exactly."

"Good, because I can't decide either! I need your help over here. We got the same size so if you wanna I can borrow you something." She explained and I cheerfully agreed and told Levi he should pick us up from there around seven, then I left the house again.

It was so much easier to pick an outfit together with my best friend and soon we were both ready, just in time for Levi picking me up. Madison had decided to wear ripped jeans, a baseball tee with floral prints and gorgeous open toe high heels. She looked really amazing. I had found myself dark skinny jeans, a sleeveless Ramones shirt and had a flannel tied around my waist. We both added a bit of make-up and looked in the mirror.

"Girl, you look so hot!" Madison laughed.

"Well, look at you. I don't think you'll go home without a couple of new numbers in your phone." I joked back and a car honked in front of the house. "That's Levi, let's go!" I said excited and we walked down.

For once, it felt good again to dress up and being excited about things. To be honest, I could barely contain my excitement because no matter how much I begged Jesse, he wouldn't sing in front of me. "You have to listen to the music with the instruments. It's a band, not just me." He'd say and then wink.

During the drive Madison and I were both nervous while Levi seemed to see this more of a duty- watch after his sister and her friend the whole evening. But I was thinking he'd have fun too when the show was over and we'd all hang out together. I could also see Madison's gaze slipping towards him once in a while and after we had parked and were walking to the bar I pulled her aside. Levi unconsciously didn't even notice and I whispered to my friend.

"What's up with that?"

"With what?" Madison asked surprised and I nodded towards my older brother while we were entering the bar called "Olli's Assembly".

"Do you think Levi's cute?"

Her cheeks turned a bit pink. "Well... he kinda is. And also he is six foot something sooo..."

"Oh my god" I snickered and put a hand in front of my mouth. "My best friend's crush is my brother!"

"Pss!" She said quickly "I don't want him to know."

"Know what?" We both looked in front of us and Levi had stopped walking because we were inside the bar.

"Know that... I'm gonna get us all some soda" Madison lied and turned around on the spot towards the bar. I looked at my brother. Well, he wasn't ugly and I could definitely understand the six foot argument.

"Should we get some good seats so you can see your Mr. Charming up close?" He teased me and I playfully punched his chest. "Stop that. But yeah, let's search for a nice place to sit."

The bar looked a bit rustically, with the wooden furniture and on some places green painted walls it reminded me of hunting a bit. On all of the walls were what looked like old photos of the city, the beach, that kind of stuff. We decided to take a table in the second row. The stage was rather small, but the drums, two guitars and a bass were already set up. In the front there was a lonely microphone. When I l looked around I saw a few familiar faces from school, but not any of my friends. The rest seemed to be normal guests who just wanted to enjoy their Monday evening. A few tables to the right were a group of man drinking beer and laughing loudly. It was almost eight, time for them to start. Jesse wouldn't even let me listen to their music before this concert so I couldn't wait for them to finally come on stage.

"Here, I bought Coke for everyone if that's fine." Madison said as she approached us.

"Yeah, sure. Thanks." I said and nodded towards the empty seat between me and my brother who played at his phone.
