Sophie's POV
I had an appointment with Doctor Cooper so I had to miss my first few classes. I brought the crutches but only so that I could give them back. I had to wait for an hour before someone came out and told me that he was ready.
"Sorry, I had a patient fall over in therapy," he explained.
"No, its fine," I said.
"So I see that you aren't using the crutches so I would like to take so more x-rays to start," he said.
The x-rays were printed and he started to examine them in silence. I sat there playing with my fingers hoping for a good result from them.
"Your knee is heeling really well," he said.
"I feel like there is a but in that statement," I said.
"There is no chance that you will ever be able to dance again."
"No chance at all?"
"If you try and dance you will have to put too much weight on it and you will cause permanent damage."
"Thanks, other than not dancing should I be fine?"
"Yes, I will schedule you for another appointment in a few months to check up but should be fine," he said and ushered me out.
Will and I both sat by the pool in silence. I had told him what Doctor Cooper told me. As much as I love to swim dancing has always been my dream. I have wanted to be a dancer since I was a kid. I had cried earlier in the day but I had managed not to now. Will had an arm wrapped around me and I was leaning on his shoulder.
"Are you going to cry again?" he asked.
"I don't think so. I just wish that the answer could have been different," I said softly.
"I know, you are a really good swimmer though," he noted.
I excuse myself and headed for the bathrooms. Someone grabbed me and I was spun around to face Theresa. I scowled and stood there. I hadn't seen her for a while though so that was nice.
"What do you want?" I snapped.
"I see that you are hanging out with the unpopular people," she noted and I rolled my eyes.
"Why do you care? Last time I checked you don't care," I retorted.
"I was just wondering if your friends know about this with Will."
"Of course."
"I guess that we can be friends again."
"Why would I want to be friends with you after you destroyed my dream of being a dancer?"
"Because you will forgive me," she begged.
"We weren't even friends when you shoved me into a mirror. Don't we remember that we weren't friends because you acted like a clingy bitch," I snapped.
"I've change."
"I don't believe you have."
"Sophie, please forgive me."
"Theresa, you made your bed now lie in it," I snapped and walked away.
The rest of the team was there when I got back. Will looked at me and I knew that he was wondering why it took me ten minutes to go to the bathroom. I shook my head and he didn't say anything. I noticed Theresa leaving the pool.
Will approached me before we started.
"Are you alright?" he asked.
"Yeah, I just ran into someone I knew," I said.
