I gather all the bottles and put them in the case. I load it onto the bus and wait for everyone to get on and take a seat.
They all load on and wait till we arrive at the school for the game.
.............
"Okay boys! You got this...keep your eyes on the ball...keep focus, and don't worry about the score if we loose. Just try to show we are rough...LETS GO!" The coach and boys yell as they gather in a circle.
I take a step back until someone grabs my hand. I look up and Cody smiles.
"Put your hand in...your on the team." He smiles and places my hand on top of his. I feel heat rise to my cheeks. And we chant and They take off to the field.
I stand on the sidelines and watch as Cody and Joey stand next to each other. Cody looks over at me before Joey snapped and he nodded. I smile and he turns back to the game.
..............
Me and Cody were sitting in the bleachers after the game waiting for a ride back to our campus to get our cars.
"Nice game Cody." A girl smiles and walks away. He nods and looks away.
"Are you gonna say thanks.?" I ask him. He turns to me and chuckles.
"Not to her, hell no." He looks at me. I nod. "Okay...sorry." I look away.
He sighs and gets up.
"He is here." He points to a car off the field near the others. I get up and follow him. He walks fast but slows down for me.
"Sorry, I am too fast for you?" He smirks. I smack his arm and laugh.
"Your so disgusting." I say. He looks at me and then around.
"Sweetie, you haven't seen disgusting from me yet." He winks as he looks ahead. I scoff and walk faster and move ahead of him. He stops and watches me as I sway my hips and look over my shoulder.
"Mm? There a problem?" I ask. He licks his lips and runs up to me. I squeal and run. He stops as we approach a car honking.
"Enough flirting and hop inside." I hear. I look at Cody and he hops into the front seat. He takes a glance in the back and sighs.
"Mark, do not touch her." Cody says. I look at ...Mark and see him grinning.
I look at Cody and he frowns. I hop in and sit down.
"Awe, you mad cause you can't be with your man?" The guy next to me ask. I laugh.
"I am not dating him." I say. Cody turns around.
"Mark, shutup!" Cody yells. I giggle and turn to the window. I feel a hand rub against my thigh. I jump and make a noise and Cody turns quickly. He grabs Marks hand and the car stops. Cody has a tight grip on Mark and Mark is staring at me as his eyes slowly turn away. I sigh in fear and see Cody's gaze on me. He looks to Mark and lets go. Mark scoffs and turns out the window.
"Drop me off at my house." Cody says. He points to a neighborhood we are coming up. The driver looks at him and nods smirking. He looks back at me and then at Cody.
We pull up to a two story house and Cody slams his door shut and comes to mine. He opens mine and I jump out.
"Bye-"
"Mark...shut the fuc-"
"Cody! See you later...have fun." The drivers winks backing his car up. Cody sighs and grabs my hand tight. I look around and see the dark sky all around.
"Um...I need to get home." I say softly. He lets go as his friend and Mark are gone.
"Right!" He turns and grabs his pockets.
"We can use my dads car." He points to a car next to me. He runs to his house.
"Wait real quick." He opens his door then comes out quick with keys.
"Lets go!" He starts the car. I sigh and he turns to me.
"Unless you wanna sleep here tonight?" He ask. I shake my head.
"I barely know you, but I heard about your little games." I say. He laughs.
"Good choice." He turns to the road. He heads to the school and we ride in silence. Until he starts talking.
"So uh...why is it now I am knowing about you?" He ask. I nod.
"I know right...I am in like one of your classes?" I laugh. He smiles and turns to me as we reach a red light.
"I never knew you were in my class." He examines me. He laughs and looks down.
"Green." I whisper. He jumps and steps on the gas. The silence grew more and then we arrive at school. I get out and he walks me to my car.
"Thank You Cody!" I smile. He nods.
"Thank, you." He returns a smile as well. I go to hug him but he already grabbed me and hugged me.
He smiles and lets go.
I hop in my car. I roll my window. He rest his arms in an kneels to my height.
"See you later..." He says softly almost in a whisper. I nod and smile.
"Maybe Jen will have a party...and we could hangout. But you don't have to." He suggest. I smile.
"Its fine, I will." I say, he nods.
"Is this one of your like player pickup lines?" I ask. He sighs.
"Yeah, you caught me..." He laughs. I look down and he pats my car.
"See you later Mary." He waves as I pull out. I then head home.
