Its been a month since I stopped actually talking to Cody.
To be honest, I hated it.
Everything we had an inside joke on, no one under stood it. So I was left laughing.
Everything we did, I never tried it.
Everything he told me of his past, little signs crept into me.
All the places we went, friends or family went.
Its hard, because I actually loved him.
He made me happy.
He made me safe.
He made me sad.
He made me angry.
He got me to be different.
He changed me.
He took my old me away.It all felt good. I felt real. I felt like this was suppose to happen to me. It was like it was set up for us.
People fight, and when friends fight, you become closer. When best friends fight the more stupider fights get. When couples argue, they love each other more. When partners fight, they realize they built confidence to say no to one another, to refuse, to not back down, but to step up.
He helped me.
I stopped thinking and lay in my bed.
I just ate with Jen and Joey earlier today. They know me and Cody were fighting but they never asked too much.
Which is fine.
"Sweetie?" My mom knocks.
"Come in.." I say. She enters and smiles. She sits at my bed.
"You didn't come to eat...why?" She ask.
"Wasn't hungry, thats all." I lie. My mom sighs.
"I told you boys are stupid." She says. I chuckle.
"I gotta always listen to you, from now on huh?" I smirk. She nods.
"Get some sleep...you have school." She hugs me.
"Mom its Friday." I say. She shrugs.
"Cleaning class, Saturday remember!" She laughs.
I smile and shake my head.
I close my eyes and fall asleep.
