We sat at the table.
Cody next to me. My mom across from me and Emily next to my mom.
I ate my rice as Cody told my mom about his parents and life.
"Thats interesting. So your leaving for college...What college.?" My mom asked. I turn my head to him and see he looks guilty.
"They might send me to Louisiana or uh South Carolina. They also said Florida..." He says. I look down at my plate.
When is he leaving?
"When were you planning on um leaving..?" I ask, looking up at him. He looks at me and guilt trips through them.
"After this yea-year." He says. I look at him once more and glance at Emily and my Mom.
"I thought you cant leave till you know for sure?" I ask. He sighs.
"Mary...its all debates. I am not sure yet, but for now I should be leaving next year." He says softly looking at me then my mom.
"Well- how was the food!" My mom changes the subject. Thank god.
"Good, Thank You." I smile.
"Amazing..." Cody answered. Emily chuckles. "Yummy!" She says. I smile and get up and go to clean dishes. Emily comes in.
"Wow, your actually coming to help?" I ask her. She rolls her eyes.
"No." She walks to the fridge and looks for something.
"You seriously just ate." I tell her.
"MOM! Mary is eating your cake!!" Emily yells and runs to the sink.
"Mary! Stop eating that, its not for you!!" My mom shouts.
"Oh my goossh! I-I wasn't even." I turn to Emily. "Im gonna fûcking kill you!" She screams and runs away as I chase her in the kitchen. She runs out and to the dinning room where Cody and my Mom were walking away from into the kitchen.
"I wasn't eating it Mom." I say to her. She smiles. "I know."
Cody smiles and comes next to me.
"Im gonna head home, school and practice tomorrow." He says to me. I nod. "Okay, well I will see you later." I smile. He nods and leans to kiss my cheek but instead hugs me.
Well this is weird, he never hugs me.
"I am gonna get Emily situated. Thank you for coming over Cody." My mom waves. He smiles and lets go of me to go shake hands with my mom.
He comes back and I walk him to the front door.
"Love you." He says and kisses my lips. I kiss him back and he wraps his hands around my neck holding tight.
"Love you too." I smile and wave as he walks away. I turn on my heel and walk back inside smiling big. My mom walks out from a corner.
"Did he kiss you!" She ask. I nod smiling. She jumps up and down.
"Ahh!!! Cute...he is really cute too..." My mom smirks. I nod.
"Goodnight Mom!!" I wave.
-----------------
Cody and me were recently behind the bleachers waiting for everyone to come out kissing.
"Do you think they know where back here?" I ask. He continues kissing my neck then stops.
"I don't know, but right now I wish we were back in my room...on my bed." He bites his lip. I push him. And laugh.
"That was my first and last time." I blush and walk away.
