BONUS: Mary's thoughts

  He changed, we all do...
What if I run into him again, but his wife was there. Would she hate me...? Would she like me, actually who cares...Brandon wouldn't like Cody now. Even though throughout the beginning of college when Cody visited me Brandon met him. I actually have to admit I miss being able to just laugh and kiss Cody. Now that Brandon and me are married and have a kid, I will no longer find a good intention to ever do that to Cody. Just staring at him today, after he stared at me how he used to. The desire to just touch me in his eyes, might of been running through mine. But I have a kid, I am married. I couldn't just quit on them and go to Cody he has a wife. Too.
   I think just being able to talk and hug was good enough, for my husband and his wife, but to us it wasn't. We were used to hugging then placing one of those long kisses on each others lips. Before leaving and going home, after a fun day with him. I just couldn't get the thought of him touching me like that now, what if it won't feel the same. Gosh, what am I saying?

I push the cart to the car and open my trunk. I grab my baby and put her in the car seat in the back seat, walking back to my groceries I start to pile them in. Cars passed by some I could hear music blaring and others were silently going by. One however, stopped, and the window rolled down. I turn around and see Cody's face. "Mary...I am heading back to North Carolina next month...you should too. Maybe we could catch up longer, ifs thats fine with uh...you and Brandon?" I bite my cheek and fight the smile, but he saw me and grinned. I sigh gaining my smile out, "Alright, I will see..." I say softly, he nods. "But-just us." He adds before driving off. I turn to my car and push the cart aside and walk to my driver side sliding in and heading back to my house.
