I woke up and stretch.

I roll out of bed and stumble walking out to the empty cold bathroom. I turn the shower and hop in.

After I step out and walk into my room. With my towel wrapped around my body and another in my hair.

I check my phone and see Cody.

'Be ready before 1:00...I wanna take you out to lunch before the party...'

I smile and type back.

'Okay, where we going?' Mary

I put my phone down and start my hair by placing it in a side braid.

My phone chimes and I walk to my bed.

'Uh...idk yet just look like always ;) '

'Alrighty! :) lol' Mary

I finish my hair then drop the towel slipping my under garments on. After I find my Hollister jeans and slip those on. I find my cute plain blue shirt and put a gray cami under it along with my pushup bra.

I do my makeup and apply foundation and eyeliner, mascara, and eye shadow.

I spray a few squirts of my perfume and grab my phone. I put my red converse on then I grab my wallet and keys and walk out.

I hop in my car and text him telling him to meet me at the school.

We soon meet up an I hop in his car.

"Hey cutie!" He smiles driving. I smile.

"Hello Mr. Uh...I don't know..." I smile and look away. He nods and laughs.

"So we are going to a casual um- you like seafood right?" He ask.
"Sure." I respond.

"We are eating at the place against the lake." He says. I nod. "Okay!" I smile.

Once we arrived and sat down I looked at the lake.

"My dad used to fish here before they built the restaurant..." Cody says softly. I look at him and nod. "I fell but would always swim close to shore also...it was fun. Except you still had a panic that a gator or something could jump out..." He laughs. I smile and look back at the lake at the shores.

"So when was that?" I ask. He looks at me. "Sorry what?" He ask.

"When did that happen?" I laugh. He ohs.
"Like when I was four." He simply states and we begin to eat as the food is placed in front of us.

After lunch we walked to his car until he stopped.

"We should go to the woods." He says.

"No...thats stupid." I say and keep walking.

"No trust me. Please..." He laughs.

"Alright..." I sigh and walk to the edge of the open ness into the woods.

His hand grabs mine quickly and he brings me near him.

"Your safe with me baby..." He says and we walk down the rough trail.

Eventually we stumble against a shore with the lake splashing smoothly onto the muddy sand.

"Wow, this is cute." I smirk and jump onto the tree hanging near the lake.

"Yeah, this is almost as cool as the old lake near my old house..." He says and looks around.

"We did you live, before?" I ask. He shrugs.

"No where important." He says and sits next to me. I glare at him.

"Tell me...you never really talk about you and your past enough to make me know you very well." I say nice. He scoffs.

"I am the only one out of you and me saying things." He says. I nod understanding.

"But, I used to live in Florida. Near Lake Okeechobee...it was really a swampy place but it was gorgeous." He says glancing over at me.

"The bugs were bad, so were the gators. I didn't swim in that water..." He laughs. I giggle.

"But, the place was-" He stops and looks down. I stop smiling and look at him and scoot close.

"What?" I say. He looks at me and shrugs.

"I had a friend named Leman. She was my first like friend..." He smiles remembering the girl.

"She showed me how to fish, she taught me lots of things. We were the same age and had parents and siblings. She was probably a person I would be in love with today..." He says. I smile softly.

"She had that long black hair that was curly one day then straight. Really pretty. She had bright blue eyes, against a tan Spanish kind skin...the way her smile was really-wow..." He looks at me and stares at me.

"What?" I ask. He looked away.

"Then, I was with her by lake Okeechobee...we lived close too...she was walking and stepped onto a whole. The place was very dangerous but at first I thought the whole was nothing so I grabbed her. She-she was crying and biting her lips." He stops and wipes his eye.

"She was being-ea-eaten...by the gator in the whole...it scared me and I didn't know what to do. I started to scream for help. She was pulling her self up and I grabbed her hand. She was glaring into my eye and those bright blue eyes just-just made me weak." He frowns.

I wipe my eye and nod.

"Soon help came and picked her up...her whole foot was gone and before we fully pulled her out the gator grabbed her again on the other foot and started to roll. The people hit an killed the gator but her foot was stuck in its grab. They yanked her foot and she screamed. Her blood-" He stops.

I had my mouth open.

"Sorry, its just to much..." He says.

"No, your fine..." I stare at him. "So what-what happened?"

"She died, due to the loss of too much blood. We didn't get her to the hospital fast enough...her whole leg was gone along with one of the foot she still had." He says.

I wipe another tear and hug him. He hugs along and I let out a big sniffle.

He pulled away to look at me.

"Don't cry?" He stared at me.

"Its sad, you lost the-girl you grew up with...I mean thats something a girl would cry about. Sorry..." I wipe my eyes and jump off and walk to the path.

"Lets get ready." I say. He follows me into the woods and we soon come back to the road. Crossing safely into his car and heading home to get dressed for the party.
