I open my eyes, turning on my back as I stare at the ceiling. My nose breathing in the smell of clean sheets and my perfume I had put on before bed, like always.I heard a soft noise near me, so I lift my body up and see Cody was awakening. His arms raising high as he stretched.
I rub my eyes and get off of the bed, walking to the bathroom. Hearing a yawn escape from Cody's mouth I shut the door. I use the restroom and rinse my face off. Brushing my teeth, then putting my hair in a bun.
I walk out and see Cody sitting in his bed, his back towards me.
"Good morning.." I say softly. His head turned slightly and he nodded. "We have to get breakfast..." He says.
"Yeah, I know..lets go downstairs and get some from the hotel. Later, we can go shopping." I state and grab a jacket. He stands up and looks at me.
"Do you mind if I shower real quick. Its 7:00. Breakfast ends at 10:30.." He ask. I shrug, "Yeah sure go ahead.." I mumble. He walked into the bathroom and began his shower.
I head to the small living room, sitting down and getting my phone out.
I dial Brandon's number and wait as it rings.
"Hello?" He answered.
"Hey, babe.." I whisper, and look down.
"Hey! Whats up? How is it in South Carolina..?"
"Its good, good. Just miss you and my little girl..."
"Aw, we miss you too.."
"I think today I'm going to my old school. Doing a short stop by.." I say, and lift my head when I hear the door open.
"Thats cool, glad your doing that. Maybe you could hit a couple of serves.." I heard Brandon say through the phone.
But, Cody walked out. With a towel wrapped around his waist and his chest bare, and wet. My eyes stayed glued to his body, when his head turned his eyes met mine.
"Babe?" I heard Brandon say.
"Oh-um...yeah, I hope I can-can too." I stutter, and Cody had a soft smirk on his face as he walked to his bed side.
"Alright, well..I am gonna let you go. I have to get ready for work soon.." He says.
"Okay, make sure you drop Gabi off at her day care. Oh! And tell her I love and miss her.." I say, having a soft smile on my face.
"I will.."
"Okay. I love you, bye.." I end the call and right when I put my phone in my jacket pocket, Cody walks out.
His shirt halfway through his head, and he worked it down. His eyes meeting mine.
"How is your husband?" He ask, grabbing his keys and phone off the counter.
"Good..you ready?"
"Yeah, lets go.." He gestured to the door.
We leave our hotel room and head to the free breakfast. As we enter the large area, my eyes gaze at the food section.
My lips formed a soft smile, and I glanced at Cody. Who stared at his phone, and then looked up at me.
"Whats wrong?" I say, suddenly curious of his strange face. He shook his head.
"Don't wait for me, go get a plate.. My wife is calling." He said and pats my back. I frown, and nod.
I walk to the food, grabbing a plate. Filling my plate with bacon, eggs, french toast, and pieces of watermelon, also with a small bowl of grits, I head to a table. I figured I would choose one far away from the food so I won't be tempted to go back. Possibilities of that are slim, but whatever.
