Friday...

I sat at the dinner table with Cody and he looked down at the menu as I just watched him.

His hair was in its normal quiff, his shirt was classy with the sleeves rolled up. His khaki shorts were in a v-shape along with his legs.

His jaw was clenched as he read the menu. His eyes scan past the paper to me.

"Are you gonna look for something to eat?" He ask. I blush and look down. He laughs and continues reading.

I sigh as our order was done.

Cody's leg reaches mine under the table and wraps around it on the opposite side of the table where he sat.

I look at him as he stared down at his hands.
His eyes were focused on his hands and he sighs and looks to the table next to us.

He watched as the couple laughed and smiled with each other. He sighed shortly and nodded.

His eyes went back to his hands.

"Are you okay?" I ask. He looks up at me smiling softly. "Yeah, why?"

I shake my head and look at my purse.

I grab my phone real quick an check my texts.

'He is gonna ask you out again!' Cory.

'He told Joey he feels good about this date, OMG!' Jen.

I glance at Cody as he goes on his phone too. I shrug and text them back.

'Mkay.' Mary>Cory.

'He is a little too quiet...' Mary>Jen.

I put my phone away and watch as our drinks come. I smile and take my drink. Cody takes his and clears his throat.

"when is your next game?" I ask. He opens his mouth then thinks.
"Friday...next week. This week was our bye week." I nod. "What about you?" He ask. I laugh. "Thursday..." I say. He smiles.

"I'm going to your next game, if you don't mind." He says. I smile. "Your welcomed anytime!" I say. He nods and takes his phone as it rings.

"Hold on..." He rolls his eyes. He gets up and walks out.

When he came back he sat down and smiled at me.

"Sorry, my dad was calling..." He says.

"Your fine....did he know you were out?" I ask. He nods.

"He called to see if you were coming to my house, but we aren't." He laughs.

"I would love to meet your dad!" I say. He looks at me, and I giggle.

"Does your dad know your with...me?" He ask. My face goes blank. "No." He smirks.

.................

After dinner, he paid and then we walked to my car. I sat inside with him texting in the passenger seat. I text Cory and Jen back after they talked more.

I put my phone down and looked at him.

"Where we going?" I ask. He shrugs.

"I don't care." He says. I nod.

"I'll just drop you off." I say.

"No, I wanna hang still." He pouts. I sigh.

"We could hop in the back-"

"No!" I yell. He chuckled. I blush and start the car.

"Lets go to the beach." He says. I look at him. "The beach? At 8:35...at night?"

"Yeah, it will be pretty trust me." He says. I nod.

We head to the beach and I park my car in the empty lot.

"Its so chilly now." I sigh. I look in the back seat for my jacket but I felt something go over my shoulders. I smile as he gave me my jacket.

"It was in my seat." He said. I nod. I go out and we walk to the shore.

"We missed the sunset! " He says looking around. I brush my hair out of my face as the wind picks up.

"It would of been really pretty, my mom used to bring me to the beach when it was close to the sunset." He says. I nod listening.

"My dad never liked it, but I loved watching the sunset. It might be weird that someone like me does this, after there mom. " He says laughing a little.

"No. No...thats real sweet. Your mom and you do this...my parents never do anything, other than work." I say. He nods.

We continued walking down the shore as the waves reach my feet.

"The rock is right here..." He points to a rock with a whole in it. He grabs my hand and I follow him as he leads me.

We climb on the rock and sit on the top.

I smile as we reached the top.

"Pretty!" I say. He nods. "Very." He says. I smile.

We sat in silence watching the moon come and the waves crash against the shore.

My hand was still in his, but I don't think he even notices.

"Mary?" He says. I look at him.

"Yeah?"

"Nothing, I just forgot your name." He laughs. I smack him and he laughs harder.

"Your such a jerk." I say. He shrugs.

"Get that, a lot!" He says. I roll my eyes and laugh along.

He lets go of my hand and wraps his arm around my shoulder. Pulling me into his side. I look at him and see him staring at me.

"What? I just want to cuddle." He says. I blush an nod.

We sat like this then I looked at my phone.

"Its getting late..." I whisper into his side. He looks down at me.

"Its Saturday?" He says. I nod. "I have strict parents." I laugh.

"Okay, but wouldn't they call you, if they want you home?" He ask.

"Yeah...but I will call asking if I can stay out a little bit more." I say grabbing my phone. He nods.

"Ask if you can have a sleepover." He says. I look at him. "No, I am not sleeping with you." I say.

"My guest bedroom." He laughs. I sigh.

"I-I will see." I get up and go to talk to my mom.

"Hello?" She answered.

"Hi mom!" I say.

"Where are you?" She ask laughing. I sigh.

"With a friend at the beach..." I say.

"Okay, well just don't stay up to late. Me and your father work tomorrow morning. Love you." She says. Really thats it, wowww.

"Okay, love you too." I hang up and walk back to Cody. He was on his phone. He turned to me and smiled.

"Can you sleep over?" He ask. I shrug.

"She just said don't stay up to late..." I say. He jumps up.

"But...I don't trust you..." I say. He looks down at me.

"You don't trust me?..." He actually looked hurt.

"Well, yah...I-I barely know you kinda...I don't know..." I sit down but he pulls me up.

"I understand we just met, and you know I am a player or whatever... But your sleeping in the guest bedroom...not my room." He says. I nod.

"So stop thinking we will do anything..." He snaps and grabs my purse. "Ready?" He ask. I nod.

We hop off the rock and walk to the car.
