Professor Ozpin x Reader: Coffee and Questions
Because...Ozpin. Can't help but love him.

You hesitantly knocked on the door belonging to the Headmaster of Beacon Academy. You were unsure of why you were summoned; though you were worried it was bad news bears as you had just started working here a month ago as a Healer, because let's face it, Aura couldn't fix everything.
You weren't being fired already, were you?
"Enter," Professor Ozpin's voice called, and with your heart thumping you walked in.
"Mrs. (L/N), wonderful," he said, sitting down at his desk and motioning for me to sit across from him.
You did so and met his sharp eyes nervously, mind wandering as to why you were called here.
He seemed to sense your discomfort and smiled lightly, pushing a mug you hadn't noticed before towards you and taking a sip of his own coffee.
"Two sugars and milk, correct?" He questioned as you took a sip.
You nodded, smiling. You hadn't expected him to get it right. Why would he bother to remember?
"Now, I'm sure you're wondering what this is, Mrs. (L/N), but I assure you it's nothing dire. I was simply wondering if you were enjoying working at my school after this month."
You relaxed, grateful that this wasn't about to be your last day here.
"I enjoy it very much, sir. It's quite interesting, working amongst all the young Hunters and Huntresses. You have some incredible students."
He chuckled warmly. "Why thank you, Mrs. (L/N). Now-"
"It's Ms." You interrupted, blushing the second you did. You didn't mean to burst it out like that. "U-um, I'm sorry, I just figured-"
"No, no it's fine," Professor Ozpin almost smirked at how flustered you were. "My apologies."
You coughed awkwardly and took a sip of your coffee, looking around the office as you waited for him to continue speaking.
"I'm curious, Ms. (L/N)," he spoke finally, purposely putting emphasis on the "Ms." part to watch you flush again. "What made you wish to be a Healer, as opposed to a Huntress?"
You hesitated; why was he asking you this? It's not as though you asked him why he chose to be a teacher or a Hunter.
Ozpin simply waited, holding eye contact with you almost unnervingly as he drank from his mug.
"I...I chose Healing because I wanted to help others without hurting anyone," you spoke firmly but quietly, unsure if he was judging you due to your answer. You felt the need to elaborate. "I don't believe anyone or anything deserves death, Professor Ozpin, regardless of what they've done. The Creatures of Grimm...they were born into a world equally as unforgiving as we were. Suddenly thrust into a world with mankind ruling over them, being killed simply because we were afraid of the unknown. For as noble as I see Hunters and Huntresses, I simply can't join the killing myself. I want to give life, not take it away."
Ozpin had sat quietly through your whole speech, smiling the entire time.
"I see," he said finally, taking a final swing from his mug. "Well Ms. (L/N), it seems I made an excellent choice in hiring you. It also seems my students weren't exaggerating when they spoke of how kind you were."
You blushed a bit. "U-Um...?"
You couldn't help but curse at how pathetic you were being. You rarely lacked this much confidence, but it wasn't your fault! This bloody silver haired man did things to your emotions that you couldn't explain.
And it wasn't helping the way he always seemed to be analyzing you, his eyes always so focused.
And he was currently choosing to focus on your eyes.
"Professor?" you questioned, breaking the silence.
"You have... (E/C) eyes..." he said absentmindedly.
"R-right..." you said slowly, before finishing your own coffee and standing up. "Umm, would it be alright if I returned to the infirmary? I wouldn't want to keep a student waiting."
"Of course not," he smiled, nodding as you stood up. "Though I must ask one more question."
"Of course," you nodded slowly.
He seemed amused. "Why were you so determined for me to understand you were a Ms, and not Mrs?"
Your face turned beet red and you turned to walk out the door, stammering as you went.
"I-I...I just didn't want a-anything to be misunderstood. I-I mean-"
Professor Ozpin's laughter caused you to stop. "My apologies, Ms. (L/N), I simply wanted to see how flustered you'd get. Have a lovely afternoon."
And with that dismissal, you returned to the infirmary, head swimming as you once again fixed some of Jaune Arc's injuries.
