Dark Link: Jealousy

A/N: Alright then, soo...I'm hoping this weekend I can rapid fire some requests as they're really piling up. I WILL be doing some RWBY later on, but I'm slowly starting to get RWBY-d out and would like to focus on some other characters and fandoms for now. But I do have a Torchwick one planned, and maybe a Qrow one, so those'll come soon.

That being said, thanks so much to JinxingJinxer (q) for requesting, and 3/3 of your requests are completed!!! I really appreciate your comments, and hope this is what you wanted. Writing for Dark Link was a little difficult as I've always considered him more of a shadow than a sentient being, but hopefully it turned out alright.

(Y/N) = Your Name. (F/C) = Favourite Colour.

Disclaimer: I do not own the Legend of Zelda or any of its characters.

It was a warm, welcoming day in the land of Hyrule. The breeze was gently brushing against the grass, the light scents of the flowers on the hills wafting towards you, and the sounds of the cows at Lon Lon Ranch were barely reaching your ears. You were reclined back with your weight resting back on your hands and legs stretching out in front of you. Beside you, sprawled out on his back, was Dark Link, and sitting nearby was Link and your close friend Zelda.

You were originally assigned to train to be Princess Zelda's guardian, with Impa being your instructor. You grew up with Zelda, and being her age and in such constant proximity to her you quickly became attached. Because of that you ended up meeting The Hero of Time, and his...interesting shadow. Well...you used the term 'shadow' lightly; you weren't really sure what D.L. was. A shadow, a reflection, a clone...who knows? He just sort of showed up one day after Link passed through Lake Hylia, and now he was one of your closest friends.

One of your closest friends...and he was keeping something from you.

There had been signs, for sure. Little tiny signs of his secrecy, and they were more prominent now than ever....

Your thoughts were interrupted by an annoying little voice.

"Link, Listen!"

"Navi," you growled quietly, "interrupt the love birds talking one more time and I'm gonna chop of your wings, attach them to myself and fly away from your stupid ass."

Sign number 1: The painful silence after your comment. D.L. would have normally cracked up at your bashing on Navi.

"Hey," you said quietly, looking over at the shadow. "Are you alright D.L.?"

"Fine," he sighed impatiently.

Sign number 2: Short and snappy answers. You had been getting a lot of those recently.

"No, you're not. What's going on?"

"It's nothing, (Y/N)," he insisted, not meeting your eyes.

"D.L..."

"I said it's nothing!" he snapped, standing up and beginning to walk in the direction of Zora's Domain.

Sign 3: Unexplained storming off.

Three strikes, he's out.

"What's his problem?" Link questioned, as Zelda simultaneously voiced "Y/N?"
