I drove back to the newspaper office, smiling widely. Someone actually cares about me, finally.

I suddenly realized I was driving without any music on, so I turned on the radio. And luckily, the radio just began playing one of Justin's songs, Mirrors.

Aren't you something, to admire

Cause your shine is somethin' like a mirror, and I can't help but notice

You reflect in this heart of mine

If  you ever feel alone and, the glare makes me hard to find

Just know that I'm always parallel on the other side

Cause with your hand in my hand and a pocket full of soul, I can tell you there's no place we couldn't go

Just put your hand on the glass, I'll be tryna pull you through, you just gotta be strong

Cause I don't wanna lose you now, I'm lookin' right at the other half of me!

The vacancy that sat in my heart is space that now you hold

Show me how to fight for now, and I tell you baby, it was easy comin' back here to you once I figured it out

You were right here all along, it's like you're my mirror

My mirror starin' back at me, I couldn't get any bigger

With anyone else beside of me, and now it's clear as this promise, that we're making

Two reflections, into one

Cause it's like you're my mirror, my mirror starin' back at me, starin' back at me

Aren't you somethin', an original

Cause it doesn't seem merely assembled, and I can't help but stare cause

I see truth somewhere in your eyes, I can't ever change without you

You reflect me, I love that about you, and  if I could, I would look at us all the time

Cause with your hand in my hand, and a pocket full of soul

I can tell you there's no place we couldn't go

Just put your hand on the glass, I'll be tryna to pull you through

You just gotta be strong

'Cause I don't wanna lose you now

I'm looking right at the other half of me

The vacancy that sat in my heart

Is a space that now you hold

Show me how to fight for now

And I'll tell you, baby, it was easy

Coming back into you once I figured it out

You were right here all along

It's like you're my mirror

My mirror staring back at me

I couldn't get any bigger

With anyone else beside of me

And now it's clear as this promise

That we're making two reflections into one

'Cause it's like you're my mirror

My mirror staring back at me, staring back at me

Yesterday is history

Tomorrow's a mystery

I can see you looking back at me

Keep your eyes on me

Baby, keep your eyes on me

I don't wanna lose you now

I'm looking right at the other half of me

The vacancy that sat in my heart

Is a space that now you hold

Show me how to fight for now

And I'll tell you, baby, it was easy

Coming back into you once I figured it out

You were right here all along

It's like you're my mirror

My mirror staring back at me

I couldn't get any bigger

With anyone else beside of me

And now it's clear as this promise

That we're making two reflections into one

'Cause it's like you're my mirror

My mirror staring back at me, staring back at me

After the song went off, I turned off the radio. "He has such a beautiful voice.." I sighed, and kept on driving. I soon spotted the office building, and I drove back into the parking lot.

I went inside and sat back down at my desk, to continue my work. "Kacey! Office, now!" My boss shouted at me.

"I'm coming..!" I groaned and walked to his office. "What is it now?"

"You do realize you went over your lunch break. Your lunch break is from twelve to twelve twenty-five, not 'whenever you feel like coming back to work!'." He yelled at me.

"Sorry... I had met a really nice guy and he took me out to lunch. I promise I won't be late again!"

"Well, since you apologized, I'll let you go this time. But don't let it happen again!"

"Yes, sir." I let out a sigh of relief and walked back to my desk

_ later _

I finally got home after a long day at work. I just wanted to sit down, and relax. I slumped down on the couch and turned on the TV. But that was when I remembered about Justin. He did say I could call him if I needed someone to talk to. I got my phone out of my bag and went into my contacts to search for his name.

I found it and tapped the screen, and dialed his number. "Hey." I heard him say when he picked up.

"Um, h-hi." I stammered, nervously.

"How was work today?"

"Eh, it was okay. Apparently I need a new job, I just hate it."

"Oh, I understand. But maybe I could do something about that."

"Really?"

"Yeah. What job do you want?"

"Well, I want to work at the New York Times newspaper."

"Oh. That seems easy."

"Mhm. How did your day go?"

"It was okay. I just went out for a bit to run some errands, that's about it."

"Oh." I sighed.

"Is something wrong, Kacey?"

"Umm, can you come over and we could, talk about it?"

"Yeah, sure." I hung up and threw my phone down onto the couch.
