Ch. 29

I was about to go to the bathroom when I saw I had gotten an email. I opened it and saw it was an article. The Truth of Justin Timberlake, the title read. Apparently someone from the New York Times wrote it. I began reading through it, and I could not believe what was written.

None of these things were positive, nor true.

"He's just a son of a bitch who just cares about himself, no one else," one line read. I deleted the email and went to the living room, only to see Justin watching E! News. "I thought you hated watching things like this." I said to him when I walked in. "Yeah, I do. But this one which happens to be about.. me." He pointed to the screen. They were talking about the article that happened to be posted almost a day ago.

"Who the fuck wrote this?" He yelled at the tv, turning it off and then throwing the remote down on the sofa.

"That's what I'm trying to figure out.."

"Do you know who wrote it?"

"No, not at all. I know everyone's name who works with me, but I guess who wrote that must be new." I thought about the name, Alison Stevens. Who would that be?

"I'll be back." I said to him, and went into my room to take a phone call. "Hello?" There was a dark voice at the end of the line.

"Hello," the voice sounded pretty creepy, but it was probably just a prank call.

"Who is this?"

"You don't need to know, just to let you know, watch your back." then whoever was on the other line hung up.

"That was weird.." I put my phone back down on my bed and went into the living room. "What am I supposed to do? The media's already heard about it, now that article is making people hate me now. I didn't do anything wrong, did I?" Justin buried his face in his hands.

I went over to him and put my arms around him. I could I hear him sniffle a bit, which was quite unusual to see or hear him cry. He was a grown man, for pete's sake.

"We'll figure this out, okay?" I said to him. He just nodded. I wiped a tear for his cheek with my thumb and kissed his nose. "Thanks, Kace." He quietly said.

"You're welcome."

Whoever wrote those bad things about bae needs to get a life like now
