dec. 24 - Kacey's POV

"I forgot to tell you, my family is coming for Christmas." Justin said while putting the last couple ornaments up on the tree. "That's nice, but how come you didn't tell me sooner?" I questioned, simultaneously opening a box of string lights.

"I just said I forgot." He sighed and took a sip of water from the bottle.

"Okay then.. what are we going to make then?"

"Um, since my mom usually brings food anyway, we could just make dessert. Maybe cake or something like that. You're gonna have to help me though, I can't cook."

I tried to hold in a laugh, but it slipped out. "What?"

"It's funny how someone like you can't cook. You made that lasagna didn't you?"

"Yeah, that's an exception. But I can't make cake."

"It's not hard, just read the directions. But whatever, I'll help you."

dec. 25

Wake up... wake up.

"Babe, wake up!" I heard Justin yell. I could feel him shaking me to wake up. "Justin.. not now." I mumbled, my face was still buried into the pillow.

"Kace, you've gotta wake up. My family wants to see you."

"Tell them not now.. now leave before I literally push you out."

"Baby... please? I don't want to disappoint them."

I brought my head up from the pillow, and sat up. "I'll be down in a minute." I told Justin, as I watched him leave the room, then I went into the bathroom to fix my hair.

After I did that, I went downstairs only to see Justin's family members there. I spotted him talking to who seemed like his mother. His eyes soon met mine, then he gestured from me to come over.

While I was walking over, his mother Lynn came over and gave me tight hug. "I've missed you so much!" after we shared a hug, she gave a box wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper. "Just a little something I wanted to give you." she said, beaming with happiness.

"Aw, you shouldn't have!" I said, while putting the gift underneath the sparkling white Christmas tree. We talked for a moment, until Justin butted in by asking, "When are we gonna eat?"

"Soon!" we simultaneously told him, then let out a hearty laugh.

- later -

It wasn't till a little later on in the afternoon when we began opening our gifts. We were down to the last gift when I had given Justin his. I watched as he tore through the wrapping paper, then throwing it behind him. "No way, you got me the watch I wanted," I had gotten him one of those expensive Dior watches that he's been wanting for a while. I don't know why he didn't just go out and buy himself with all the money he's got. But let's not be that way right now. "Thanks baby." He said, kissing my cheek.

"You're welcome." I replied. I noticed Lynn grab the last gift from under the tree and hand it to me. "It might be something good." she grinned. I took the gift from her hands and proceeded to untie the bow on top. I opened the box, and noticed a picture frame, and what looked like a necklace. I took out the frame first, showcasing a picture of Justin and I a while after we met last year. I immediately turned my head to face him, and he looked at me confusedly. "What? I didn't get you that."

"Yes you did. Your name is right here!" I exclaimed as I pointed to the little sticker on the wrapping paper with his name written in pen.

"Ugh, fine... but do you like it?" he hung his head down. "I love it."

After we had said our goodbyes, we headed to the bedroom, since it was already 9pm. "I have another gift for you," Justin whispered in my ear, pulling me close. "What is it?" I asked.

"Come here." he replied, pulling me into the bed with him.

I knew exactly what was going to happen.
