Oh my god. It was my wedding day. I was very, very, nervous and I had just woke up. But there's no need to be nervous, I need to be happy. Today is the day I get married.
I got up out of my hotel bed and jumped into the shower. After I was done, I dried off and proceeded to put on my dress. I brushed my teeth, sprayed some perfume on and called my hairstylist, Caroline, to tell her I was ready for my hair to be done. I heard her say, "Okay!" and came in the bathroom to start on it. I told her I had wanted my hair curled at the ends, and she agreed to it.
After she had finished, I had started on my makeup—starting with foundation, along with some eyeliner, and mascara. Finishing it off with rose-colored lipstick. I put all of the makeup back into my makeup bag and left the bathroom. I grabbed the box with my white high heels in it and put them on, and then put some scented Bath & Body Works lotion on. While I adjusted my high heels, there was a knock at the door. I got up and went to answer it, and there stood Ashlynn, and Lynn.
"Oh my gosh, you look gorgeous!" Lynn said, checking out my outfit. "Thanks!" I simpered.
"You're welcome. The ceremony starts in about another half hour, so are you almost ready?" Ashlynn asked, smoothing her pink silk dress. "Yep. But I'm super nervous."
"It's okay to be nervous! On my wedding day I was nervous as well." Lynn reassured - putting her right hand on my shoulder. "Really? That actually makes me feel better that someone I know was in the same position that I'm in at this moment."
"Yeah, Kace. It's okay to be nervous. I'm pretty sure your husband-to-be is feeling the same way too." Ashlynn added.
"Your friend is right."
"But, we should go help finish the decorations. We'll see you in a few minutes!" they both said as I lead them out. "Okay, see you guys!" after I had closed the door behind me, Caroline asked if I needed anything else. I looked over and shook my head no.
~30 minutes later~
I stood there in front of the burgundy-colored doors, clutching my bouquet of dogwood flowers in my hands. I heard Ashlynn whisper in my ear "You're gonna do great. Don't be nervous." My bridesmaids had already gone out, along with Justin's groomsmen - which I'm considering were his some of his closest friends.
Soon I heard the clock strike 11:30, signifying it was time. I seriously wished my father could be here to witness this special time in my life, but he passed away when I was was ten years old. I only had my mother left - sadly she couldn't be here either.
Lynn had offered to walk me down the aisle, but I kindly declined. I had dreamed of my father walking me down the aisle, but I know he sees me down here from heaven.
The doors soon opened, and all eyes were on me. I never liked being the center of attention, but I just have to deal with it today, I'm the bride of course. I took one small step forward making sure not to go fast, nor too slow.
"Shit," I mumbled when I realized how close I was to the altar. I noticed Justin standing there, dressed head to toe in black and white, his hands in his pockets, looking nervous as ever. But I could tell deep down he was very excited.
"You look beautiful." He whispered after I had positioned myself in front of him. "Thanks, you look quite handsome yourself." I smiled. Then the minister began speaking.
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness the union of Justin and Kacey in holy matrimony, which is an honorable estate, that is not to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly, but reverently and soberly. Into this estate these two persons present come now to be joined. If anyone can show just cause why they may not be lawfully joined together, let them speak now or forever hold their peace." Gladly, no one objected. :)
(quick a/n: usually at most weddings, they do the giving away of the bride, but for story purposes i'm going to skip it, cause, well, yeah.)
The minister then turned to Justin, saying that he could present his wedding vows - then grasping both of my hands, which gave me butterflies.
"Kacey, I take you to be my lawfully wedded wife. Before these witnesses, I vow to love you and care for you as long as we both shall live. I take you, with all of your faults ad your strengths, as I offer myself to you all of my faults and my strengths. I will help you when you need help, and I will turn to you when I need help. I choose you as the person whom I will spend my life with.
The minister looked at me, and then I proceeded to say my vows.
"Justin, I take you to be my lawfully wedded husband. Before these witnesses, I vow to love you and care for you as long as we both shall live. I take you, with all of your faults ad your strengths, as I offer myself to you all of my faults and my strengths. I will help you when you need help, and I will turn to you when I need help. I choose you as the person whom I will spend my life with."
I wiped a tear away from my eye, which was now messing up my mascara - but I didn't care at all.
"The blessing of the rings, the wedding ring is the outward and visible sign of an inward and spiritual bond which unites two loyal hearts in endless love. It is a seal of the vows Justin and Kacey have made to each other. May she and he, who give them, and who wear these rings, live together in unity, love, and happiness for the rest of their lives."
Justin then put the ring on my ring finger, and said, "Kacey, I give you this ring as a symbol of our vows, and with all that I am, and all that I have I honor you. With this ring, I thee wed."
Then, I followed, and said "Justin, I give you this ring as a symbol of our vows, and with all that I am, and all that I have, I honor you. With this ring, I thee wed."
"And, by the power invested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." I was grinning from ear to ear as a result of how happy I was. Justin smirked at me, and pulled me in for a kiss.
"I present to you, Mr. and Mrs. Timberlake!" the minster shouted, happily. I looked over at Justin and instead of grasping my hand and running down the aisle like all the other married couples do, he picked me up, well, 'bridal' style and carried me down the aisle instead.
"Do I still get to fuck you in that dress?" He asked.
"Fuck, no."
omg. the end.
this was sooo hard to write, especially what's usually said during a wedding, but I TRIED.
instead of saying i didn't think i did a good job, i did a good job :)
