Ch. 20

Kacey's POV

I don't know why Justin was overreacting about the whole situation. I mean, I didn't cheat. I still love him, but I just can't deal with him right now.

I drove all the way back to Adam's beach house, cause I was sure that's where he would be. Soon as I got there, he was surprised I was even there.

"Hey. You okay?" He asked, hugging me. "Yeah, I'm okay. I just came to get all this stress off my mind."

"I understand," He gave me a small smile. "Want a drink?" I nodded. "I could use one." 

He got up and got a bottle of wine from a cabinet, and poured some into a glass. "Here." I took the wine glass, and I took a small sip.

"I'm guessing that was your boyfriend I had an encounter with." Adam suddenly said, breaking the silence.

"Mhm." I nodded. "Sorry about that. He just got angry over nothing. He must've thought we were awfully close in the picture, but we're just friends." 

"Hey. Just forget about it. It was just a misunderstanding." I felt him scoot over to where I was, and put his arm around me, then he placed a kiss on my cheek. I placed my head onto his chest.

"Thanks for making me feel better." I softly said. "No problem." Adam replied, running his hands through my hair. I remember when Justin would do that..

No! Forget about him.

Soon enough, I found myself falling asleep..

Justin's POV

I sat at the bar counter, drinking my third bottle of beer. Still, I was still wondering if Kacey would ever come back, or she'll move on.

I swallowed the last swig of beer, and got up from the table. I gave the bartender an $100 bill. I walked out of the bar, hands deep into my pockets. Should I call Kacey? 

I pulled out my phone and to dial her number. The phone rang and rang, until she answered. "What is it?" She snapped.

"Hey. I know you're mad at me, but please. I was being stupid, I overreacted. Just please don't leave me." I said.

"Justin. As much as I want to believe you, I can't. I'm sorry.." She replied. My heart just sank. "I-I've got to go, bye.." She hung up on me. What am I gonna do? I just walked to my car in sadness.

I turned on the car and drove back to my hotel room.

Kacey's POV

Adam and I were cuddled up, watching a movie. Somehow, I just felt safe in his arms, a way I've never felt with Justin. I know he apologized to me, but I don't want to forgive him. 

"I'm getting pretty tired. Do you want to go to bed?" Adam asked me, turning off the TV. "Sure." I yawned and rubbed my eyes.

"Okay." He slipped under the covers, and I did so too. He put his arms around my waist, and whispered in my ears. "Goodnight, baby." 

What did he just call me?
