I was very flustered to take it in so suddenly.

"Um.. Okay... Let's go out, maybe. There was once a path for ATVs to go through in the woods, so maybe we could go."

Penn nodded.

"Okay.."

Honestly, I was doing this just to get our minds off the bad things, but also to have some fun time with the old vehicles. Besides that time, it has been a while since I drove, and it surprised me that I didn't crash big time.

Somehow, that path was still there, well I kinda knew that because that was the path we took to get firewood. With a few rounds, the grass flattened out to a nicer track. I was even able to let Penn drive, without her panicking. She ran over a few small trees, and went a little slow at first, but Penn learned fast and before you know it she could have been born driving...really fast..

We drove down some grass in a clearing, then turned the engine off. Despite our troubles... It was so peaceful here...

I watched Penny as she carefully sat down on the grass. I've noticed before that she was pretty, but since we admitted... I probably could never meet a better girl.

She blushed lightly as I sat down in the grass next to her.

"So we will escape," I said, softly.

"We will escape... and perhaps get together, then..."

"That will be up to what fate brings us." Penn responded. I nodded, and we both laid back on the grass.

It was so ...peaceful...

When I felt a cold raindrop hit my arm, I quickly snapped open my eyes and got up. Penn was up too.

How long did we sleep?

"Aubrey.." Penn said, obviously in fear

"What.. Is... That?"

She was pointing at something in the brush. I carefully looked in...

There were a pair of eyes staring back at me...

I jumped back, at the same time a nose came out of the brush..

..and a head...

..and eyes and ears...

A large husky with a bloody grin sneaked out, and began to growl.

"What do we do? What do we do?" Penn was panicking behind me.

"From what I know... When it comes to dogs don't run and don't look in the eyes.."

"Aubrey this isn't a normal dog!!" Penn cried.

"Then.." I made a quick decision, the dog was getting within bite range

"We run for our fucking lives!!"

I shot off, Penn not far behind me. The large dog howled, and began to chase us as well.

And that was just the beginning of a new nightmare..

The finally is slowly creeping into place!

How do you think this this is going to end?
