:Penny's POV:

The house was burning underneath us, we had no where to go, not with all those creepypastas.... slenderman, particularly. His static would swallow us up if we tried to go anywhere...

"Penn"

I glanced over at Aubrey, he had a hard expression. In his hand, he had a pill.

The final pill, from the bottle Hoodie and Masky gave us.

"Penn, take this pill, then jump out that window. It's not that high, you might be able to get out in time."

I stared at Aubrey, then at the pill, and back at Aubrey.

"But what about you?" I asked, cautiously. "We can't split the pill, what will you do?"

Aubrey was silent, silent for too long. I could feel the heat in the room rising. The flames were spreading.

Aubrey finally said, coldly,

"I will stand firm. Take the pill and go."

I stood as firmly as Aubrey.

"No, if you're gonna burn, so am I. Do you expect me to leave you?"

Aubrey looked hurt by my stubbornness. I felt his pain. I've pretty much pulled the trigger, for both of us. Aubrey wanted me to live, but I stood and refused to live.

I carefully took the pill from Aubrey's hand.

"I guess then, I'll live." I said, slowly.

Aubrey looked to the window.

"Good, go Penn!"

I ran to the window,

Then I stopped.

Flames jumped from the window. As I backed up, they quickly spread.

I collapsed, from surprise and sorrow.

"We're doomed!" I wailed. I lowered my head, and began to sob.

"Penn," Aubrey said, softly.

"We won't make it....We will die because I was stubborn..."

Aubrey took my hand.

"Don't...cry, Penny."

He began to cough, from the smoke.

"We...will stand firm... until the....the end..."

I coughed, and pushed away tears. The air was heavy from smoke.

We woke up, in the burnt shell of a house.

Did we make it?

The world was much paler than before, minus the burns, which were ever blackened. Aubrey was also a similar white-blue to the world around us.

The colour of a pale sky.

"We....didn't make it... did we?" I asked the spirit Aubrey, cautiously. In our death, would he remember me?

Aubrey looked around, then at me.

He stared at me, words came out, slowly, in his voice, and yet not, ageless, stuck in time..

"Penn...does it matter if we made it?" he asked, surprisingly calm.

"Of course it matters!" I cried.

"If we failed to live...we...we..."

"It's not all that bad..." said another ageless voice.

The spirit of Cody, walked trough the ashes of the house.

"We have twenty one acres of area to live in, with no fear, whatsoever. Like a utopia..."

"Where's Antonio?" I asked, cautiously.

"Near where he died." Cody said, casually. "But he should be coming soon, now that you too made it."

I silenced.

"Twenty one acres... the acres of the property."

"Hmm?" Aubrey asked

"Twenty one..." I repeated. I looked slowly up at the other two.

"Must we be in this dreaded place, forever?"
