We ran down the trail, until we heard no more barking.
"Aubrey... Aubrey what was that?" Penn said as she kept looking back.
Suddenly I understood. Jennifer did tell us she didn't know when, so..
I put my hands on Penn's shoulders.
"Penny... This is the apocalypse Jenn was talking about. This is it..."
"But... Apocalypse.. What do you mean this is it?"
"Penn, we are leaving now."
"Oh, are you, now?" Said one familiar voice.
Herobrine grinned at us, in full armor and a wicked looking sword in his hand. We were barely able to tell, though because we ran as soon as we saw him.
I looked to my side, and realized something bad.
Penny wasn't with me.
Please...
"Penny... Penn this is definitely no time for jokes... Penny?"
No reply, not even Herobrine or that dog... Or anyone...
I cried out her name
"PENN! PENN WHERE ARE YOU?!?!"
and still no reply. Oh no... What could have happened to her? Where did she go?
Where am I even?"
I began to walk in a random direction. I soon came to a familiar clearing, path like..
Did Penn seek the safety of the house? In the distance, I heard the grumble of an engine...
I quickly turned around just in time to see through the brush Penn atop the ATV, driving I'm guessing homeward.
As much as I hate to say this, I have to go back.
Now there was a faint sound, like of something flying through the air..
Something, a blur in my vision, swung past me, and slammed into a tree opposite me and stuck. A hatchet. It had cut my arm good, and crimson blood was now oozing out.
This was the guy that killed Cody. He carried two hatchets on him at all times, and only one so,
I ran just in time before another swung through the air, and hit around where my head was. As I ran, I heard the guy come down and chase after me. There was another sound, and had grazed my leg.
I stumbled, but at least the other man was to close to throw at me, I hope. The house was now in veiw. I could also see the ATV parked clumsily by the house.
Pastas swarmed the outside of the house, just looking for a way in...
"PENNY!!"
I screamed as I got closer. Some of the familiar murderers, and even some I didn't know, had their eyes upon me in an instant, but I couldn't grab all of their attention.
Of the ones that I did attract, Jeff was in the lead of them. His grin was larger than ever as ran towards me, I could tell even from this distance...
What do I do?
Is this how it ends?
I swerved, and sprinted towards the barn. In there, there must be something I could fight with.
I must remember that every second I waste on my life could end Penn's.
Inside the barn, there was less than I thought..
A crowbar..a metal pipe..shards of glass..pitchfork..
I looked back, and Jeff was in the doorway. My pulse quickened, and I randomly chose a weapon.
