Chapter 1: Grin
ROXANNE
"Class dismiss." Lumabas agad si Mr. Ruiz ng classroom matapos ang pinakaboring niyang klase.
"Thank god. Akala ko, mamatay na ko sa gutom." Madramang sabi pa ni Sheena. Iniligpit ko na ang mga gamit ko saka ipinasok sa bag.
"May tsismis ako." Bulong ni Sheena sa akin. Ewan ko ba. Ano bang klaseng bulong ang ginagawa ni Sheena eh halata namang naririnig ng buong klase yung binubulong niya sa akin.
"What?" Kahit kailan, tsismosa talaga 'tong si Sheena.
"I saw Sasha earlier sa restroom." Habang nakikinig at inilabas ko mula sa aking handbag ang press powder ko para silipin kung hagard na ba ako o ano.
"So?"
"Umiiyak siya. Pulang-pula yung mukha niya tapos namamaga pa yung mata."
"Why?"
"I don't know. Tingin mo, nag-away kaya sila ni Tommy?" Anya nito.
Tommy is Sasha's boyfriend. Sa pagkakaalam ko ay dalawang taon na itong magnobyo. And last time I checked, they are sweet and inlove. Lahat alam yun.
Naramdaman kong nagvibrate ang phone ko. So I read the message. Napakunot noo na naman ako sa nabasa. What? Not good!
"I have to go", as I bid goodbye.
"He-hey", tutol ni Sheena. But I didn't wait for her reply at nagmamadali na kong lumabas ng room.
Umakyat ako ng rooftop. There. Our gazes met then I watched the person beamed at me with a smile. Halata sa awra nito hindi mapagsisidlang kasiyahan. I froze when I realized something. Shit! He can't look at me like that? He can't! I stood there, unmoved.
Mukhang napansin nito na wala akong balak lumapit sa kanya. So he ran to my direction at sinalubong ako ng yakap. I can't help it. When I felt his warmth around me, his musculine scent reached my nose, I just laughed. I felt his excitement, his happiness and his willingness.
"Hey, babe", I said. I'm enjoying Tommys' company and all. You're right. Tommy. Tommy na nakayakap sakin and Tommy of Sasha ay iisa. Tommy and I have a relationship. Two months na rin. And yes, I am the third party.
If you ask if I love him?
Well yes. I love him. I love how he cheated to his girl. I love that he was an expert lying to Sasha whenever we're together. I love how he threw their two years relationship for me. I really enjoyed our game,"the hide-and-cheat game".
If you'll ask me, kung nakokonsenya ako? No.
Naaawa pwede pa. Naawa ako kay Sasha, she's inlove with my badman. You see, I can make a good man into a bad man. My badman.
Proud? Oh, hell Yeah!
Naniniwala ako lahat ng lalake pare-pareho. They are all jerks. They are capable of cheating and all. Sa panahon ngayon, wala ng loyal. Walang forever!
Look at Tommy. He seems the loyal perfect boyfriend of Sasha. Everyone thinks that way towards him. Kahit ako malapit ng maniwala. But.. nah, he still cheated. With me.
"I have a good news." Humiwalay ng yakap si Tommy at tiningnan ako sa mga mata.
"I broke up with her."
Napatigil ako sa pagtawa.
"Now , we can be together. We can tell the world about us." I can see how happy this man infront of me. Niyakap niya akong muli.
"I'm all yours now." He whispered. Bumitaw ako sa yakap niya. Tommy looked at me confused.
"Why? Are you okay babe? Hey, what's wrong?"
"You .. you broke up with her?" Tama ba ang narinig ko? Nakipagbreak si Tommy sa girlfriend niya? NO! NO! Hindi pwede!
"Ahh.. yes."
"Why?" I asked.
"Because I love you. Ikaw ang mahal ko. I'm sorry kung ngayon lang ako nagkaroon ng lakas ng loob na makipagbreak sa kanya. I'm so sorry babe." That's bullshit!
"Makipagbalikan ka sa kanya." Kitang-kita ko ang gulat sa mga mata niya.
"Wha-what?"
"You can't break up with her." I told him. I am so mad right now.
"Don't say that. Rox, I know you wanted this. This is the only way we can be together. You can be my official girl. Hindi na natin kailangan magtago whenever we meet."
I like being his mistress. But now? Hindi na kami pwede. Wala ng challenge. I don't want to be his official girl. That's boring. I sighed.
"Then, let's break up." Tumalikod na ko bago pa siya makapag react. Stupid!
Nang pagkalingon ko, I saw someone looking intently at me. Nagulat ako sa pagkakita sa kanya. Mukhang narinig niya ang pinag-usapan namin ni Tommy. Inirapan ko na lamang siya at saka nagmamadaling umalis. Sa dinami dami ba namang estudyante dito. Bakit siya pa? Bakit si Hunter Villegas pa? Ang walang kwentang playboy!
I don't like the feeling when I noticed that his lips broke into a grin. Bastard!
