Military!Luke and Calum reunite

Calum rolled around again in bed, keeping his eyes shut tight in fear of catching sight of the picture frames on the side tables. they were pictures of him and Luke on their one and 3 year anniversary, and once Calum opened his eyes, it would officially be their fourth.

Calum knew that the day starts when you open your eyes and he didn't want to start another day without him, much less today. So he layed in bed, rolled around with his eyes closed all through noon, one o' clock, two, four. He was going to last the day with his eyes closed, since he couldn't deal anymore with them open.

around 6 his stomach started to hurt, and Calum knew he had to eat. can't see Luke if you've starved right? he mumbled sarcastically to himself as he sat up in bed and began to open his eyes.

The first thing he saw was his feet. He looked around and saw everything normal: the clothes in a trail to the bathroom, the hallway light on he forgot to turn off, the mirror showing him his reflection on the wall. the building didn't know what today was, the room stayed in tact throughout the day. And Calum can too.

He stood up and walked down the stairs into the kitchen. He immediately went to the island and reached for the mail, only to remember that getting the mail was his job and-

no, Calum mumbled while shaking his head. I'm not gunna think about Luke anymore.

He grabbed his mail box keys and slipped on a sweatshirt over his head. He left the kitchen lights on because he was scared of the dark and only he could calm Calum down.

Calum grabbed the door handle and only to see a startled and off balance Luke staring at him dressed in his military cameo.

wait, Luke?

Calum stared back into Luke's eyes and try not to cry. He was filled with so much longing for Luke and despair it felt like if he didn't touch him now he would break apart. Luke must have been thinking the same thing because in the same moment they both reached for each other in a long hug.

"I missed you so much love bug" Luke closed his eyes tightly and willed the tears to not fall over. He was just filled with so much love and fondness for Calum he felt that if you cut open his veins only flowers with his name on them would emerge.

Calum had never felt more whole than when he was with Luke. Like a wave to the shore, Calum was to Luke. all the sadness washed away the minute his amber eyes reached the crystal blue.

"oh I missed you so much more Lu"
