the one where Luke designs and cal helps

hey so in this one luke has my dream job, working at a record label by designing album covers and he happens to be assigned to design 5sos's album (Calum's band minus luke). hope you like it! ((send the title sucks sorry I'm uncreative this morning))

Luke was sat at his laptop trying to think up new designs for the all time low's future hearts logo. he wanted it to look very cool so he had been spending a lot of time perfecting it, but he still didn't quite like the idea he had. he sighed in fustration and ran his hand through his hair, only stopping to look up when he noticed 3 guys entering his office.

"would it have killed you to knock?" Luke mumbled sharply, he was really stressed about the logo and very tired, plus all his coffee was gone.

"I guess not, sorry" the one on the end looked down shyly, and his face reddened in embarrassment. Luke bit his lip and sighed.

"who are you all and what can I do for you?"

"I'm Ashton, this is Michael and Calum. we're 5 seconds of summer and we would like a cover for our album designed and singles, and logos and stuffs designed"

"okay wow that's alot, you can sit down in the bean bag chairs there. 5 seconds of summer you said-" luke remembers getting an email about their upcoming visit to him so he opens his email and searches for it. once he pulls it up he reads it aloud.

"you need 'album cover artwork for sounds good feels good, single artwork for she's kinda hot, jet black heart, and hey everybody, and a logo for the new broken scene' right?" the boys nodded and Luke got out a pen and pad (of pAPER)

"so what were your ideas?" for the next hour and a half the boys randomly spit out what they thought would look cool and what the album and songs meant to them. Luke was writing down information and a few sketches, all of them getting good feedback from the boys. it seemed luke really captured their ideas well and Luke understood what they wanted. after they were out of ideas the band stood up and waved as they left. Luke thought they all had left until he heard someone clear their throat above him.

Luke looked up to reveal Calum standing by his desk. he remembered that the raven haired boy didn't say much during the brainstorming session and wondered what he was thinking now.

"yes calum?" Calum bit his lip and looked down at the ground.

"d-do you think, maybe I could, pick the picture we use for the album cover? like picture of the band for the artwork." luke raised his eyebrows.

"um, yeah I guess so, but can I ask why?" Calum's cheeks grew red and his eyes flittered all around the room.

"the designers want me, the band, to appeal to a certain type of audience, so they edit my skin lighter, and make my lips smaller, and nose, and I hate it. so I was wondering if I could pick so that didn't happen again?" Luke felt his heart clench after hearing what calum said.

"that's so shit, but yeah you can definitely choose the picture, I won't edit it at all" this time Calum looked up and gave luke a big smile. he turned to walk out of the room but stopped when luke called out his name.

"calum? I think you're beautiful just as you are"

as the weeks went by calum had stopped into Luke's office more and more and they grew closer. they worked on the artwork together and Calum designed most of the safety pin logo for the new broken scene. they worked well together and had a lot of great times with each other. they spent so much time together that Michael and Ashton regularly popped their heads into Luke's office and made kissing noises at them, causing both boys to blush.

one day when Calum walked into Luke's office luke had a new idea.

"instead of putting a picture of the band on the cover, we could just put the logo and some drawings? I think this album is more about the music and the message it's telling, instead of who it is by, ya know? it'll be more meaningful if your picture is not on it" Calum's eyebrows furrowed in thought and he nodded.

"I like that alot luke, I really do"

Luke nodded and began to show and explain to Calum the other artwork he made for the album cover but calum wasn't paying attention at all. Calum was staring at Luke, looking at his pretty pink lips move as he talked, at how his blue eyes were sparkling the more he explained the design. Calum but his tounge but soon heard his own voice betray him.

"can i kiss you?" Luke stopped midsentence and looked up at Calum shocked.

"are you joking?"

"not at all" Luke continued to just stare at Calum so calum reached down and grabbed the papers from his hands and placed them on his desk, scooted closer in his rolly chair, and placed his hands on Luke's neck. blue eyes met brown before Luke leaned in and closed the gap between them.

Luke felt his heart fill with all the poetry that slipped past Calum's lips every night in stage, he felt so light he could float away. Calum was drowning in happiness, after waiting so long for this he was finally kissing Luke and God it felt so great.

when the boys disconnected (ha) Luke chuckled and placed his head on Calum's shoulder, nuzzling his face into his neck.

"will you go out with me Luke?"

"I'd like nothing more"
