so originally I was going to create a whole book on one shots based off of the album purpose by Justin Bieber but I kinda lost interest for it so I'm gonna post the 2 parts I already wrote on here so yay!

So you heard it all before
Falling in and out of trust

Calum slammed his locker shut and turned to walk down the hallway as he heard his name being called from behind. recognizing the voice, his pace quickened until he was almost running. he could hear the footsteps getting louder and closer before a hand was placed on his shoulder. it was Luke.

"damn, Calum, didn't you hear me running after you?" Calum frowned as Luke hunched over with his hands on his knees trying to catch his breath.

"I was running for a reason Luke" Luke straightened up and looked at Calum. they were almost the same height, Luke being about an inch taller.

"I know you're mad at me but you shouldn't be. I really like you, that's a promise" Calum scoffed and turned on his heel.

"not like I haven't heard that one before"

"Calum I never lied about that, I'm sorry I stood you up yesterday, my car broke down"

"Luke I don't have time for this, it's so obvious that you never liked me; you wanted to make me believe you liked me and got my hopes up and then let me down completely. but aside from all that you want to embarrass me even more by still leading me on. I'm done Luke, I don't believe anything you say" Calum swallowed the lump in his throat before walking out of the school and away from Luke.

Calum waited on the steps for his sister to come and pick him up when he saw Luke walk out of the building and into his friend Michael's car. why wasn't Luke driving himself home? Calum wondered. maybe his car really did break down.

After Calum returned home he spent some hours doing homework and then decided to watch Netflix. he was halfway through the breakfast club when he heard a knock at his door. he hopped up and looked down at his clothes before shrugging and walking towards the door anyway. he was wearing a drop dead t-shirt and a pair of grey sweatpants, he looked nice enough.

when he opened the door he was greeted with Luke holding a daisy and a letter. he wore a shy smile on his face and his cheeks were tinted a shade of pink. Calum bit back a smile at Luke's shyness and adorablness before realizing he was supposed to be mad at him.

"hi, so I know you're passed at me, but read this first" Luke handed Calum the daisy and the letter. Calum felt his heart start to speed up as he eagerly ripped open the envelope to read what was inside.

Calum,
so I know you're very angry at me and probably still don't believe me and that's okay, I get why. I did ask you on a date out of the blue and I'm sorry you feel like this. but this is my letter to promise you that I didn't ditch you, I actually like you. I always see you in class and I know it's been 2 years in the same class and we haven't spoken yet but you looked so hot concentrating on your math work I couldn't help but rush over to you and ask you out. I really like you Calum, please believe me.
Luke

Calum finished the letter and swallowed thickly. he held back the tears as he looked up at Luke who had a hopeful smile on his face. Calum launched himself forward and wrapped his arms around Luke's neck, hugging him. he felt Luke release a big breath and hug calum back quickly.

"thank God you forgive me" Luke mumbled into Calum's neck, making him giggle to himself. "mark my words okay, this is my promise you you"

and with the sunsetting behind them as they attached their lips, maybe Calum promised something back to Luke.
