Luke was going crazy.

He was seeing Calum everywhere, even more than when they were actually dating and why can't Luke get calum out of his head?

He and Calum broke up a couple of weeks ago and ever since then seeing the black haired boy was popping up on every street Luke took and in every class Luke was enrolled in. Fuck, Luke would've thought that when they were dating he would've noticed calum poised on every street on the face of the earth, but maybe it's a side effect of going bloody insane.

Luke was currently rushing down the street towards this hole in the wall coffee shop. he wanted to take his mind off calum and stop hallucinating and imagining him everywhere. he entered the cafe and was immediately taken at the register because only like 12 people know about this place total and it's never crowded, in fact Luke's never seen more that 3 people in it at once.

"Can i have a black coffee with a chocolate muffin please?" the cashier made him his drink and food and soon Luke was making his way to the table on the side of the cafe to get a straw and napkins.

fuck, he's doing again. he's still imagining calum everywhere and now it's out of hand. Luke was going to put an end to this, and he was going to do it right now. He was going to match right over to him and prove this is all in his imagination.

he turned on his heel and walked quickly directly towards Calum. Calum looked up and noticed Luke walking towards him, but when luke was a meer foot away and was showing any signs of slowing down he got worried. and when Luke completely knocked him to the ground he was very concerned.

"what the hell?" Calum grumbled from the ground. he rubbed his head instead of immediately standing up and turned his head to see Luke laying on his back across from him, holding his arm. he was gasping and his face looked paler than usual.
"hey are you okay?"

he crawled over to Luke to see the arm he was holding was at an awkward angle that probably wasn't good and tears that were piling up in his eyes ready to fall. "shit let's get you to the doctor's" he promptly picked up Luke bridal style and quickly walked to his car and placed Luke in it. as he began speeding down the street he played good Charlotte's most recent album, Luke's favorite. he placed his hand on Luke thigh and squeezed comfortingly.

"don't worry Luke, you're gonna be okay"

--------

about an hour later luke woke up to see himself in a hospital bed and Calum sitting in the chair beside him watching cartoons on the TV.

"what the hell happened?" Calum jumped, obviously not expecting what to be up so soon.

"I honestly don't really know. we were at the cafe and one minute I was putting sugar in my coffee and the next you were full on speed walking straight towards me and you knocked into me, causing you to break your own arm. you passed out in my car on the way here and you just woke up now. I need an explanation because this whole story sounds insane" luke sighed rubbed his uninjured hand over his face; God this was a mess.

"I've been seeing you everywhere okay? ever since we broke up I've been seeing you everywhere, like you're a ghost haunting me. I was going to walk through you to prove that I was just imagining seeing you everywhere but I guess that didn't work out well." Luke's face heated up but he was suprised to see Calum's face heat up also. he raised an eyebrow in confusion.

Calum sighed, "I may or may not have been following you. I'm not trying to be weird I promise I just miss you alot and you've been ignoring me ever since we broke up. I can't handle never being able to see you again" calum lowered his head as tears sprung to his eyes. there was no way Luke wasn't going to think he's a freak now, he's been following him around for fucks sake. you could say he was more than suprised when luke started laughing.

"thank god, I've been thinking I'm going crazy" luke ran his fingers through his hair and sighed happily until he registered what calum said. "I didn't mean to ignore you, but you know our break up wasn't pretty. I miss you too, but I thought you hated me" calum immediately shook his head.

"I could never hate you" luke nodded and stared into Calum's big brown eyes, the eyes that were so familiar to him and always made his stomach fill with butterflies. the same eyes that were so dead and black the day their relationship ended. Luke had to look away, every memory of their relationship was flooding his mind.

their first date at the aquarium. watching movies in Calum's dorm on his laptop. Luke at the fountain in the quad making a with just for calum to appear a second later with McDonald's. starting a food fight in Ashton and Michael's room. seeing Calum stand a little too close to that girl at the party last month. the screaming, the fighting, the drunk insults thrown at each other that night. sleeping alone for the first time that night.

Luke's eyes began to water, why was he still distraught over what happened weeks ago?

"I'm so sorry, I can't believe I said those things to you that night. I really can't. I wanna try again, please tell me you do too" luke looked up to see calum looking down and picking at the frays on his jeans. Luke reached out and pulled his hand into his own.

"when they let me out of here, I'd like a date" calum looked up and nodded eagerly with bright eyes.

those are the eyes Luke fell in love with.
