I walk down the crowded hall ways trying to avoid people the best I can. I can't make eye contact with these people, because then they give me disgusted looks. I hate it when people do that. They think that If I even take a tiny glance at someone, I like them. Stacy told them so. Ever since then, I had to look at the floor. No one looks at me either. Even the people I grew up with, they should know that everything she says isn't true! But they do the same exact thing as everyone else. The people I once called my friends are now avoiding me. I walked into Mr. Marcus' room and sat in the back row in the corner. I pulled out my book and started to read until the bell rang meaning that first period had started. After about three minutes, class started. I looked up to the board and focused on my bell work question. Mr. Marcus came in with his same cheeky smile he has on everyday. He comes to the front of the room and speaks. "Okay, so who can tell me what the bell work question is?". Hands of students went into the air. He looks around the room and thought about who to call on. His eyes landed on the kid across from me. "Colt." Everyone looked at him, everyone but me. "How does the Constitution affect everyday lives?" He answered. "Good. Now who knows the answer to the bell work question?" He asked. More students hands go up. He skims the room and he stops at me. I hate it when you don't have your hand up, so they just have to pick you. A small smile appeared on his face. "Jessica?" He asked. Every student turned around to face me. I didn't dare look at them. I stared down at my notes instead.  "It affects our laws." I answered quickly. I can hear students whispering things, like "Wow and I thought she couldn't get anymore gross. Now she's a nerd!". I slumped down in my seat. I hate this school. I hate my life. Mr. Marcus was to busy to hear what people said because he was writing something on the board. Just then, a kid I've never seen before came in the class. He was a tall brunette. He had brown eyes and he had a glow to him. The room diffused with his cologne. He looked around the room at everyone's faces. His eyes stopped on mine. He didn't look disgusted. He was actually kind of cute. He smiled at me. "Wow, that's a first" I thought. Mr. Marcus turned around and greeted him. "Class this is Andy Peterson. He's a transfer student. He's staying here with us until graduation." He smiled at everyone. "Andy take a seat any where you would like." Mr Marcus said. Andy walked over to me and sat in the seat next to me. He smiled at me and I smiled back. "Maybe I have a chance at making a new friend." I thought. Mr Marcus handed out our assignments and everyone started working quietly. The bell wrung and I went to my next class. Math. It's write across the hall so I don't have to go all that far. I sat in the back corner and sat down. I pulled out my book and started reading. "Hi." I heard an unfamiliar voice say. I put down my book and looked. There stood Andy. "Hi" I replied. He sat down next to me. "I'm Andy." He said. I giggled. "I know." I said. "So, what's your name?" He asked. "Jessica." I simply replied. He smiled. "That's a beautiful name. He replied. I smiled. I thanked him and the bell wrang. "I might actually have a chance at a friend" I thought. Then the lesson started.
