The same evil smirk stayed plastered on his face. "Well Hello Willow! Nice to see you! What are you doing here?" he asked. She smiled. Only I know that my dad was being sarcastic. "Well Nana Smith's birthday is this weekend." She said. "Really?! How old is the ol' fart?" he asked. His face was like a mask. The nice and friendly mask he wears over his evil face, which he is using right now as he talks to Willow. He looks like the way he was before my mom left. I would be fooled too, that is if I wasn't his daughter. I wish I wasn't. He's evil. He beats the crap out of me. And for something I didn't even do. He looked towards me. The look in his eyes proved to me he was going to officially kill me tonight. He put his arm around me, tightly. Willow started to speak, and every word she said, dad would squeeze harder. "Shes 100 this Saturday! You guys should know this stuff! You are Nana's family too, y'know! Even if Mom is gone, it doesn't mean the wrest of the family hates you guys!". My dad smiled. "You know what? Your right! Jessica? Why don't you go to the party with Willow this weekend!" He smiled at me. I know why he's doing this. Nana Smith hates my guts. She thinks that I killed My mom. So she banned me from her house. I haven't seen her in three years. My shoulder was starting to get a bruise. My dad started to dig his nails in my shoulder. I tried to hide the pain. "Sure, Why not?" I finally spoke. They both smiled. "Great! Well I really should go! See you guys later!" he yelled. He got up and left. I let out a sigh of relief. We finished our food and headed out to her car. I hopped in and so did she. "So where are we heading?" I asked. "Nana's." she replied simply. "Why the party isn't until tomorrow?". "Ya but thats where we are staying!" She said like it was the most obvious thing in the world. I smiled. I looked out my window and watched as the world flew by. Eventually we turned down Nana's familiar street. I could see the old brick house ahead. I prayed and hoped that my Nana wasn't home. And just my luck she was. The car came to a slow stop. She jumped out and I slowly followed. She opened up the door and a smell I don't recognize filled my nose. It smelled like something was burning? Maybe Nana was cooking something. "Hi Nana, we're home!" Willow yelled. A head peaked around the corner of the kitchen. "Hi honey!". She yelled. She came around the corner and she was wearing her apron that my mom gave her for a birthday present 6 years ago. She came and stood in front of us. I swallowed hard hoping she won't recognize me. She looked me over. "Oh crap." I thought.
