School ended and I'm walking home. Andy didn't talk to me for the wrest of the day. I heard footsteps behind me, but I didn't dare look back. Eventually the person started to chase me. I started to run, but this person was way to fast. I tripped and the person grabbed a plastic bag and held it on my head. They grabbed me and started running and eventually I was set down on a soft patch of grass. I took off the bag and there stood Andy. I sighed. "I thought you hated me." I said playing with the grass. He leaned forward and lifted up my chin. "I never said that." He told me. I looked him dead in the eye and saw nothing but pure sorrow. Does he feel bad for me? "Well you've been acting like it all day." I told him. He sighed and sat next to me in the grass. "I thought you needed some space. Who was that girl anyway?" He asked. "Stacy Goldsberg. The school Bully." I simply replied. I wasn't ready to tell him my full story. He put his arm around me and pulled me closer. I put my head on his chest and we just listened to the birds chirping and the leaves of the trees blowing around. "I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I should have been there for you. How about I make it up?" He asked. I lifted my head up and looked at him. "How?" I asked curiously. He smiled his same smile. "How about I take you out for dinner tonight?" He asked. This time, I smiled. I can't remember the last time I ate out. Probably before my mom disappeared three years ago. "Sure." I replied. He smiled and kissed the top of my head. Wonder why he did that. Does he like me? I won't ask. I heard a car door slam shut and I heard a familiar voice talking. I looked over to my right to find my dad walking this way. I quickly look down, scared of what's happening next. "You!" He yelled. I looked up slowly. "Why aren't you home?" He asked. "Why do you care? So you can beat me up more?" I asked. His face began to turn red and he immediately started screaming. "You Idiot! You just told this boy everything, didn't you?!" He reached down and grabbed my neck, hard. He lifted me into the air with all of his strength. Andy stood up and kicked my dad. He released me and fell over. Andy picked me up and started to run. The sound of foot steps followed behind. I couldn't breathe all that well and Andy ran back towards the school. He stopped when we got to a convertible and put me in on the passenger side of the car. The footsteps got louder and louder behind us and Andy hopped in and pulled out his keys. The car started and we drove away. I sat there in pure shock. "Can my life get any worse?!" I mumbled under my breath. Andy was panting while he was driving. When he finally caught his breath, he started talking. "Was that your Dad?" He asked. I nodded my head not wanting to speak. He placed his hand on my leg and started to rub it. I watched as we got to a little town named Newton. Andy drove down Main Street and pulled over at a park. It was a fairly large park. He got out and ran to the other side of the door and opened it for me. I giggled. He can still make me laugh even after we were just chased by my evil dad. I hopped out and Andy shut the door and grabbed my hand. I intertwined our fingers and we walked amongst the sidewalk. It was beautiful out. The sun was just going down. The sun rays would hit the trees leaves
make them stand out. It was October 17 so it was already fall. A breeze came and I started to get cold. Andy noticed and put his jacket on me. I thanked him and he smiled at me. "So tell me about yourself." I told him. He smiled. "Well, my Full name is Andy
Max Peterson, I'm 15. I've went to school in four different towns, all are in Kansas, and I have 2 siblings. I have an older sister named Lucy, and a younger sister name Kaylee. Lucy is 16 and Kylee is 13. I live with my mom. My dad died when I was 6 from cancer. I don't remember much about him, but my older sister does." He finished. I looked at him. "Wow." Is all I could get out. He sighed. "Ya, I thought my life was pretty hard. But then I met you. I hate that you've grown up in such a bad environment. I'm really sorry for you. And I won't to try to make the wrest of your life the best as possible." He said. I smiled. "How are you going to do that?" I asked. "By being by your side no matter what." He said. I started to blush and I hugged him. "Your my guardian angel you know that right?😇" I asked him. He chucked. "Yep." We walked to the swings and I sat on them. Andy pushed me on the swing and we talked until the sun when down. "This is the start of a good life." I kept thinking.
