Part 2: -

Alexis’ POV

“Wait a second; did you just say your baby was Conor Maynard’s?” My dad asked confused.

“Yep. You know how the party Jack dragged me to. Well Conor was hosting it, he and I both got drunk and well you know the rest,” I said while looking out the back living room window.

“So you’re the reason he’s leaving?” My mum said pointing a finger at me.

“I don’t know his reason for leaving but he’s mine. Might seem stupid but he’s everywhere around here so it’s only best to get away from it all” I shrugged.

“Honestly, you’re both acting like a bunch of children and you’re carrying one” My dad said exasperated.

“Dad, I’m still a freaking teenager, he isn’t. Get your facts right. Anyhow, I’m off to pack and then head to Aunt Susie’s, be best I go soon,” I say as I got off the chair. I didn’t need any more lectures from my parents. I knew what happened was wrong but I can’t change the future. I know I should’ve prevented it from happening but I was drunk. I know that’s not a great excuse for it but it’s my excuse.

I packed a couple of suitcases because I didn’t know how long I was gonna be gone for. However, what I do know is that, I’m gonna be big. Belly wise, I mean. This will be awkward, greeting my best friends and then telling them the unruly news of me. Yeah, Jack’s the only friend I made while I was down here in Brighton, it wasn’t because I was antisocial or anything, it was just because everyone already had their group of friends and Jack was my neighbour. Also, Conor’s the only boy I’ve been with after my last ex.  Yep, I did go three years without kissing a boy. Awkward.

My mum had already phoned Aunt Susie and told her I was coming to live with her for a bit. I just hope she didn’t mind because I was pregnant and all but, I just need to figure myself out.  I was busy taking my suitcases out to my dad’s car when Conor and Jack walked out also. Uh oh! Jack doesn’t know and I wasn’t planning on saying anything until I was gone.

“Lex, what’s happening?” Jack shouted over to me.

“I’m going home Jack. Need to leave for a bit”

“Lex, why?” He whined.

“Just need to get away from things. I don’t know how long I’ll be gone or if I’m ever planning to come back. This will help me a little, thinking wise,” I said shrugging.

“I know I’m the problem Lexi and I’m sorry for what I said but I just can’t” Conor said in a mere whisper.

“Not everything revolves around you Conor. However, you are right, you are the reason I’m leaving because why be here when you’re here and you’re not even doing anything to make an effort to even see your child. Why am I even trying now to make you see sense? Gosh, I must be so delusional in trying to think you’d change your mind” I angered.

“Lex, you will let me know what it is you’re having when you find out.” Jack said breaking up our miniscule argument.

“Of course, I’m not holding you back from coming up and seeing the baby Jack. You are after all its uncle. Just don’t upset too many girls,” I said with a laugh.

“I won’t, however, you keep yourself safe and little bubba in there. Don’t let anyone walk over you, especially not you know who”

“Ha! That dick isn’t getting anywhere near me. A few beatings were enough from him, I don’t want any more”

“Good but Lex, come and visit sometime soon. Please”

“Of course, my family live here now and George will be too upset if I don’t keep in contact. He’s already mad at me for leaving”
