"What happened to 'just a few kisses'?"

"I should be asking you."

Natasha and Clint lay side by side on Clint's bed that morning, staring at the ceiling.

Natasha shifted under the blanket and brought the blanket up to her chin, before Clint stole a playful glance at her.

"Next time you ask me to stay over, I'm not gonna believe you. You kept me up all night with your silly stories." Natasha protested in a teasing tone, pretending to be annoyed but the little smile playing on her lips gave her away.

"You seemed interested!" Clint defended, playing along with the 'argument'.

"That's because I was being considerate! Plus you looked really into it, sorry for being thoughtful." Natasha folded her arms across her chest and pouted, to which Clint chuckled.

He turned around to face her and hugged her tightly from the side, while kissing her cheek.

"C'mon, we're gonna be late for class if we don't get out of bed now." Natasha said in between giggles.

Natasha buttered up slices of bread with Nutella while Clint changed in the room. It was fortunate that Clint's roommate was a studious nerd who goes to the library early every morning to study, leaving Natasha and Clint some alone time.

Strong arms wrapped around her waist and Natasha pretended to ignore Clint, until he kissed her neck, tickling her, causing her to break into a smile.

Clint then left to pour a glass of milk for each of them, and he sipped on his while Natasha finished preparing the bread.

Natasha suddenly burst into laughter, clutching her stomach as she tried to suppress the giggles.

Clint was stunned and looked at her with confusion clearly written across his face.

"What?"

"You have a milk mustache!" Natasha pointed to his mouth, and Clint joined in the laughter after realizing how silly he must have looked.

He pulled Natasha towards him with an arm round her back and looked at her sneakily before kissing her on her lips, making sure to smudge the milk onto the area above her mouth.

"Now you have a milk mustache too!" Clint burst out laughing at Natasha and she punched his arm playfully.

They then settled down for breakfast before heading to class.

---------------------------------------------

That afternoon after school, Natasha went to audition for the play while Clint went for his archery practice.

She found a seat with Pepper and Bucky while waiting for her turn.

Natasha watched the girl auditioning for the Queen to recite her lines before she was called on stage.

She briefly ran her eyes over the lines in the script before the teacher gave her the signal to carry on.

"Oh he's not a stranger, we've met before."

"Why? after all I am sixteen."

"But, but I can't! He's coming here tonight, I promised to meet him."

Bucky sat in the audience watching, waiting for his turn, he couldn't help but think that Natasha fitted the role of Princess Aurora so perfectly and he would love to see her in a princess gown, but he quickly brushed the thoughts aside when Natasha came down the stage.

The story was that Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip met in the forest where she lived as a peasant girl but didn't know that they were both royalties. It turned out that they were actually betrothed to each other but Aurora didn't know and felt devastated to know that she was already betrothed and couldn't be with the man she met in the forest.

Then Natasha took Bucky's place in the audience as he went up for his turn. She cheered him on from the seats.

"Well, I have met her, father."

"It wasn't a dream, father, I really did meet her!"

"I said I met the girl I was going to marry. I don't know who she was, a peasant girl I suppose."

Natasha applauded when Bucky finished his audition, and he came to join her as they waited for Pepper to finish her audition.

Now, it was some other boys' turn to audition for the role of Prince Phillip.

Who else could it be but Joseph Lanier.

He went up the stage, spotted Natasha in the audience and after they made eye contact, winked at her.

Natasha's eyes widened, before she hurriedly turned away. After so long, she couldn't believe that he was still so bent on having her. She thought he would have found a new love interest by now, but turns out that wasn't the case.

That night, Natasha and Clint had dinner together at a bistro nearby.

"How was the audition today?"

"Okay..." Natasha said while fiddling with the straw from her drink.

"What's wrong, Nat?"

"Joseph is auditioning for Prince Phillip."

"Woah, he didn't do anything to you, did he?" Clint's protective boyfriend mode turned on and he gently gripped her hand.

Natasha shook her head, then paused, "Does winking at me count?"
