Clint and Natasha were walking along the corridor to his dorm when he stopped, turned to her, and took her hands in his.

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"You know what." He smirked.

"Oh, that. It was nothing, just giving your coach some advice." She responded with a grin.

"For that, I'll repay you by spending a day with you and Lucky at the beach."

Natasha clapped in excitement.

---------------------------------------------

Clint sat basking in the warmth of the July sun as Natasha and Lucky ran along the shoreline having fun.

It was heartening to see that genuine smile on his sweetheart's face as she held on to a dog toy, waving it at Lucky, and allowing him to chase after her.

The calm blue waters of the sea matched that of the cloudless azure sky, a picturesque background in stark contrast with the flowing red hair of his beautiful Natasha.

Clint's eyes trailed after the girl and dog as they ran further down the shore but still within view. He then saw Natasha trip and fall onto the sand. He panicked for a moment, but then relaxed when he saw Lucky pounce onto her and lick her face, and she responded with hearty laughter.

Clint realised he smiled too, a smile that crept up his cheeks to his eyes, and it was because of how blessed he felt to have this amazing girl in his life.

He saw Lucky running back towards him, with Natasha trailing behind, and before he knew it, Lucky was on him licking his face and yapping happily. Clint chuckled at the ticklish feeling and scooped Lucky up in his hands, placing him by the side as Natasha sat down next to him.

Clint ruffled the fur on Lucky's head and Lucky moved into a sleeping position, closing his little eyes for some rest.

Natasha found a stick and began drawing in the sand.

"Look what I have drawn, Clint." Natasha said excitedly.

She had drawn a boy and a girl enclosed in a heart.

"Let me guess, Jack and Rose?" He asked innocently.

Natasha shook her head.

"Then, Edward and Bella." He said.

Natasha giggled and shook her head yet again.

"Aw, don't tell me you drew Thor and Jane?" Clint asked sheepishly.

Natasha raised an eyebrow.

Of course Clint knew all along who she'd drawn, he just liked to tease her.

"Alright, then you tell me." He said fervently, moving his face closer to hers till their foreheads touched.

"It's you and me." Natasha replied quietly, almost as if she was too shy to say so.

The next moment, his lips were on hers, and his hand slipped around her back pulling her closer.

Natasha wrapped her arms round Clint's neck and both of them melted into the kiss, ending up with Clint being on his back on the warm sand.

A break for air and Clint gently pinched her nose with one hand while the other held on to her shoulder.

"I knew." He chuckled.

"I know you knew." She grinned.

Natasha lay next to Clint, her head resting on his outstretched arm, her hands on her tummy.

"I remember the last time we were here, I was jealous of Bucky being with you." Clint laughed thinking back to their beach outing a year ago.

"Aren't you still?" Natasha challenged playfully, turning her head to look at him.

"Maybe." Clint looked around, avoiding her eyes, with a smile playing on his lips.

"But not so much as to get hit by a ball again."

Natasha widened her eyes and exploded in laughter, she had no idea that happened.

"I wish this moment can last forever." Natasha sighed, looking out into the orangey sky.

"It can, if you believe that we have forever right here with us." Clint said while raising a clenched fist.

Natasha had her gaze fixed on Clint's fist. When he opened it, the setting sun came into view. It was as if he had the majestic ball of orange in his palm.

Natasha's face lit up into a smile.

Clint closed his hand again.

"This moment is right here, and always will be." He brought his fist before Natasha. She took it in her hands, then brought it down to her heart.

"Now it'll always be here." She opened his fist and placed it over her beating heart.

The couple exchanged warm smiles.

As evening approached, Clint, Natasha and Lucky sat on the rocks further out into the sea to watch the sunset.

Like before, Natasha sat hugging her knees to her chest while Clint had an arm behind her. She rested her head on his shoulder and he placed his head atop hers. Lucky sat quietly beside Clint, wagging his tail occasionally.

Natasha's sturdy and unfailing shoulder to lean on hadn't let her down. She knew she would watch many more sunsets with Clint, and for that, her heart ballooned with gladness.

The wheelchair resting behind them was illuminated by the golden rays of the setting sun. It cast a shadow on the uneven rock, not one of uncertainty and despair, but one of hope and a bright future.
