pokemon story: the deep connection

CH 3: Trouble has a wrong timing.

(THE NEXT MORNING, JUST BEFORE PREPARING BREAKFAST)

ASH's POV

It is a clear sunny day and those girls, ohh, God knows what they whisper among them. Even yesterday they were talking about the love thing. Girls!! I will never understand them. But still, May be there is really something called love. I don't know May be she is in love with someone? but I feel somewhat attracted towards Serena. Her smile makes me forget all my tiredness after training. The way she flicks her hair and plays with it just makes me melt. Is that love....? I admit she is very cute to handle. But love? Is that the correct word I should think for me?

I was good until I felt something very known, very friendly, very painful, very electric?

"Aaaahhhhhhh" I screamed out in pain.

Pikachu shocked me hard. " why did you do that buddy?"

Then I noticed Clemont beside me.
"Ash, I called you out million of times, waved my hand in front of you with all my stamina but you didn't respond and continued to stare at the girls. It seemed like you were hypnotized so I asked pikachu to get you up."Clemont specified fixing his glasses with his fingers.

"Pika. Pika. Pikachu" pikachu laughed making fun of me.

Then I realized that I was staring at Serena for a long time. I hope she didn't notice me.

"Well ash I want you to go get some wood and berries so that I can prepare some food." Asked our master chef, Clemont.

I was about to enter the forest when from nowhere Serena popped up saying "Hey ash do you mind if I come along you to help you"

"No need to ask Serena, you can always come with me anywhere you want in this world."I replied and we began going deep in forest. I don't know why but I purposely wanted Serena to come along me.

SERENA'S POV

"Hey Serena, ash is going in the forest to pick berries, look" Bonnie said. We are discussing our love topic for hours sitting under a tree and ash has been training in the forest.

"Oh, he came back." I said to Bonnie.

"Listen Serena, this is your chance go with him in the forest and tell him all your feelings." Bonnie said pushing me to go.

"You see Serena, I think ash likes you back. And I and pikachu are the only guys to know about the both sided crush"Bonnie said.

It made me blush like a magiccarp ,"but Bonnie, how can you say that?"

"You see, ash was starting at you for about half an hour without doing a movement" she said. Was he really doing that? Hearing that made me jump but it may be Bonnie imagining something crap.

"Oh crap, it's gonna be way more difficult then you think Bonnie" I said but then noticed her death glare and thought it would be better to go with ash than staying with angry Bonnie.

I went to him and asked him if I can go with him and what he said made my day. I felt like hugging ash tight but I controlled my feelings.

He said "No need to ask Serena, you can always come with me anywhere you want in this world."

After walking deep in the forest in a complete, awkward silence we found some berry trees from which I picked the berries and ash gathered wood.

I decided to rupture the silence but before I could say a thing ash spoke up "Hey Serena, how is your preparation for the show case going on?"

"It's all good. How about your training?"I then asked.

"It's good too"he replied

It appears that he wanted to ask something else but ended up changing the topic. Was he about to reveal his crush on me as Bonnie said. I guess ash is so dense to think about the love thing. Its just me imagining things.

"Serena, is everything fine? You are turning red."ash said putting his palm on My head examining me if I was all right.
Then I realized that I was blushing deeply upon thinking about ash.
"I am fine ash. Really." I said blushing more deeply.

I assembled all my guts and just to make my move.I took a deep breath and started saying " ash, you know it has been a long time traveling together. You have helped me out in every trouble of mine. You were always there when I needed you. I wanna say that I..I..I..."

I stopped in middle to take fresh air and started again "It's from the first time when we met. From that day I wanted to say it." I was blushing so bright that I guess sun appeared dim compared to me.

"Ash, I..I..I..lo....."

BOOOOMMMM.....

A large explosion stopped me in between.the sound was so hard that Its sonic boom had shaken us hard.

"That explosion, it's where Clemont and Bonnie are. We need to hurry, seems like some trouble to them." Ash shouted in worried way and began running towards it holding my hand in his hand.

Yes, we were running hand in hand. My heart beat was do high that it could challenge light for a race! But it all happened when I was about to say it. Damn it. But what could have happened out there.
