pokemon story: the deep connection

CH 4: The only hope left.

Ash's pov

"BOOOOMMM....."

A sudden explosion occurred at the place were we left Clemont and Bonnie. I remember the explosion, it was similar to yesterday's explosion but this one was larger and shook us interrupting Serena in between.

I said to Serena "That explosion, it's where Clemont and Bonnie are. We need to hurry, seems like some trouble to them." And we began running hand in hand. I don't know why I did that but I liked doing that.

We reached there soon and were surprised to see that no one was there. "Clemont? Bonnie? Where are you guys?"me and Serena yelled with all our might.

"Pika, pika, pi pikachu..." pikachu too was worried.

But suddenly he hoped from my shoulders and I heard a metal banging sound behind me.

I turned back and found pikachu in his battling stance with his tail turned metallic. And in front of him were three guys in some kind of jump suit full black in colour. The only body part that could be seen was their eyes. They had long metallic rods in their hand with some kind of electric device at the end. They all let out their pokeballs to attack us. And from their pokeballs came out scolipedes.

I let out my pokemons ,hawlucha, frogadier, talonflame but not noibat as he didn't had any battle experience. We began battling and were winning but then
"Aaaahhhh....." I heard Serena yell out and when I turned there were more of those similar people with scolipedes surrounding Serena.

My heart just sank deep inside my stomach. I was never so worried in my life ever. Why was it so? I asked pikachu to use iron tail on those crooks near Serena and he did the way I thought. But more and more of people came as we battled them away.

They struck hawlucha with the electric rods from behind the neck which caused him to faint and they captured him.
Same happened with talonflame and frogadier. Serena had let her braixen and pacncham out for help but they too got captured.

It was just me Serena and pikachu were left. Pikachu was tired too much but still was battling to protect us.

They were all around us not letting us escape.

"Pikachu use thunder bolt with all your might!" I commanded wanting to finish this up in one shot. pikachu did what I said.

"Pikaaaa.....chhuuuuu....."pikachu shouted, using every last drop off energy left, defeating almost half of the guys down to ground. But still they were too many.

But then something caught my eye. A guy was about to give the shock to Serena.

I felt time to be stopped for me to reach her to protect her. That second seems to be the longest second of my life. All my journey with Serena including the summer camp, our first time meeting in kalos, her voice encouraging me for training and her happiness after she won her first showcase, was all in front of Me in that second.

My soul jumped out of my body making me more serious for the case. I ended up coming in between Serena and the guy with electric rod.

The rod shocked me hard causing me to yell out in pain. Every thing started turning black.The only thing I heard was Serena yelling "no..no..ash. Why you did that. Ash....
I...I...lov........"I didn't get the complete words from Serena because I fainted.

SERENA'S POV

I suddenly saw a guy heading towards me with the rod in hand. And now all I could do is to close my eyes and wait for the pain. I did so but didn't feel the pain.

I opened my every in relief but then felt like someone threw a bus on me. I saw ash in front of me yelling out in pain which was supposed to come to me.

"No...no...ash. Why you did that.
I...I...I love you ashhhh" I shouted but he didn't seem to hear me. I broke into tears.
It was all my fault. I couldn't do anything now. But I can't give up. At least this is what ash has always told me. Never give up until the very end!

I then took out the last poke ball from his pocket and released noibat out.

"Noibat, noi, noi" it said.

"Please noibat use screech with all your might." The noibat was still baby but was smart enough to understand the situation. He did what I said and I managed to some how get up and pick up the flat lying pikachu, who was unknown to what happened to ash.

While those people were struggling with the screech, I rushed away in the forest with noibat following me and the highly injured pikachu in my hand.

But soon the started to follow us. They managed to capture noibat as it didn't had any battle experience but I kept running, not willing to give up, at least not for ash.

I was out of air. I knew that I am going to be captured soon so now all I had to do was hide the injured little pikachu. I found a perfect dense bush and placed the rat pokemon inside. After placing I began running in the opposite direction to mislead the bad guys so that they don't find pikachu.

They soon found me and I had to surrender. I had no other choice. They struck me with the same electric stuff as they did with ash. I experienced the pain that ash has experienced. Every thing went black

The last thing I wanted to see before giving up my life was no-one but ash.

But to say alive, pikachu was the only hope I was left with.

Its going amazing. Thanks you all for 100+ views. I will just make sure every thing goes fine with the book. I am just hyped for writing the next chapter. It's gonna have pikachu's pov. So stay tuned.

I know I was about to publish this after 3 days but, I just can't resist.
