pokemon story: the deep connection

Chapter 18: Let's party on my mind.

It's almost a week now when that incident happened. That rough scenario is still in my mind and whenever I think of it, it just shakes me up. Ash was lying flat, almost dead. His pokemons, all unconscious. Gary was unconscious. Team rocket members were unconscious. The malamars were really angry but still flew away without harming anyone. And at last it was me, crying all alone hoping for help.

"Serena???" Ash flipped his hands in front of my face. Yes, his fracture is healed.

"Where are you dreaming? You said you are staying with me because I wanted someone to talk to. But you are lost in your own thought!"

"Sorry ash, I was just........a...a...searching for a topic to talk." I said and managed a fake smile. Ash returned the smile and said

"Well, if you want a topic, then tell me what happened to me and how I ended up here?"

"If you remember I told you that you slipped and hit those trees. That's all." I lied. In a week it was like hundredth time when ash was asking this question, and every time I gave the same answer. We did every possible thing to hide the truth as said by nurse joy. Gary went back to kanto on a different mission. Charizard and other pokemons also returned to professor oak's lab.

Today, they are releasing ash from the pokemon centre and so Clemont and Bonnie are taking care of a surprise party for ash. They left me to take care of ash.

"Oh yeah? Is it that easy? Hit a tree and your memory goes on a vacation!" Ash again said sounding a bit angry.

I giggled and said "okay ash, don't get angry again and I will make poke puffs for you." But actually he looks cute when he is angry.

"Oh, I love...."

My heart stopped for a moment.

" .........your poke puffs"

And I died because of my imagination. I thought he is going to say 'that' but he didn't.

In the evening, ash was released and we took him straight where the party was organised. It was a large tree with excellent decoration. The lightings were beautiful and the food was cooked by Clemont himself.

"You all did this for me? Wow! Thanks." Ash said in excitement and went straight towards the music player invented by Clemont, which were connected to large sub buffers. He let out all his pokemons and began dancing. Clemont and Bonnie
Joined ash. I hesitated at first but then joined them.

We all had a good time dancing and laughing around until Bonnie changed the song. She played a slow, romantic song and asked us to dance. Clemont couldn't dance more. He was already panting. Bonnie was dancing with Pikachu and dedenne. Frogedier and braixen were dancing together like professionals, hand in hand.

"Who are you waiting for, Serena?" Bonnie shouted pushing me towards ash. I somehow managed not to fall on ash which I regret now. :(

"Would you like to dance with me?" I saw ash with his hand forward and a smile which was undeniable.

I stick myself to ash as if glued and began dancing. The night was really slow but romantic. My face was turned red because of the warm feelings I was getting from ash. As the song approached to the end our faces moved towards each other's as well. We were an inch apart when the song ended.

We were about to kiss when ash pushed me back. We didn't get a kiss. I just touched his lips and I was thrown.

"Sorry Serena, I didn't mean to do that. I am sorry, I am sorry." Ash said and turned around in embarrassment, not showing his face.

"It's.....it's Alright ash." I had nothing else to say.

"Serena! Go on. Tell him, tell him." Bonnie whispered for only me to hear. But now I had no guts to do it.

"Hello hello!"said a voice which appeared to be known.

We all turned to see the person I never wanted to see. And why the hell is she here. Till now you might have figured it out.

"Miette? What are you doing here?" Clemont questioned.

"You all are enjoying a party without inviting me?" That daughter of a mightyena said.

"Oh, if that is so, come join us." Ash said. He is completely over to what just happened between us. Or maybe to what didn't happened.

"Enough of dancing. I am hungry." Bonnie tried to stop miette from dancing with ash but she pulled ash and began dancing.

I was not going to let it happen. Not in a million year. I moved towards the music player which was invented by Clemont. It looks like Bonnie knew what I was going to do so she came in the view of everyone so none could see me. I pulled back my leg and gave it a perfect kick!

Smokes started coming out of the machine and soon exploded.

We were all covered in soot and our hair was puffed up.

"Not again!" Clemont sweat dropped.

"Better luck next time." Bonnie said with a happy tone.

"Uh..." was the only word uttered by miette.

I gave her a look and then turned to Bonnie "Alright Bonnie, it's time for dinner."

We all sat in a circle and attacked on the tasty food.

It was funny to see ash hogging up the food.
It was cute to see ash eating.
It was pleasant to see Bonnie playing with the food.
It was thankful to see Clemont serving the food.
It was peaceful to see pokemons sleeping.
It was nasty to see miette admiring ash. Oh god. Kill her!

"Hey miette, what bought you here to us?" Clermont asked.

"I came to know that ash got injured badly in that terrifying incident. So I came here to see ash! So how are you feeling ash?" Miette replied. Her voice was flirty while saying 'feeling.'

"Is hitting a tree a terrifying incident for you?" Ash looked confused. Omg. Miette didn't know that should not know what happened to him. What to do? What to do?

"M....m....miette. Ash a...a...actually lost his memory so he doesn't remember what happened."I finished willing everything to be fine.

"You guys are surely hiding something! Tell me now" ash said becoming angry again.

Miette's pov

Whats going on? Looks like ash doesn't know what happened to him. Awe.....so cute.

"Oh ash! Cool down. It's nothing serious. I will tell you later." I assured him with a smile. This is going to be my chance to win ash. Tonight, ash will become mine.
