Chapter 15: love isn't controllable (PART I)

Ash's pov

"C'mon Gary. We can't just sit and watch them take over the whole world! We need to do something." I said jerking gary to move but he was too scared.

I decided to take things into my hands. I pulled out all my pokeball and opened them. Red light appeared through all the balls and pokemons emerged.

"Listen everyone, let's end this up! Attack them with all your might. We have to stop them or they will finish us." I said to all my pokemon with confidence. The confidence in my eyes was clearly seen. They returned the confidence by nodding their head in agreement. We all had faith in each other, their strong bond of friendship and trust was not only with me but with all the pokemon, even with my recent kalos pokemons. We all looked in each other's eyes as if we were not gonna meet again. There was a complete silence between us.

Gary was feeling differently. "Ash! What the heck are you trying to do. They are just too many. Don't do it." He was soaking wet, not because of afternoon's heat, but fear.

"Go!" I commanded completely ignoring Gary.

They all spread around and were attacking everywhere. I and pikachu tried attacking Giovanni to stop his ceremony but he was guarded but a bunch of purloin and scolipeds. He continued his process where more and more beams of light kept emerging from the ground with the same powerful roar each time.

"Pull up the mind control device." A voice approached from my behind. I turned to see and found that I was aimed to shoot the mind control device. They fired the device on me but didn't touch me. A shadow ball hit the beam right in the path. I remember non of my pokemon could use shadow ball. I turned around to see Gary with his umbreon. "Hey ash, no need for thanks. I am with you."

The scenario was extremely violent. Those guys were smashed like toys. My pokemons got hurt too. Noibat was badly injured so I called him back. Halucha and frogadier were injured too, so I called them back as well. The situation was out of control. They were just too many and Giovanni wasn't giving up.

"Hey everyone, stop Giovanni! Quick."I ordered and all pokemon attacked Giovanni. Useless was the only word to be used. He continued. Suddenly I heard a voice. The voice I loved the most but did wanted to hear here.

"Ash!" Serena called out. "I am glad you are safe."

She didn't care for the surrounding and ran towards me pulling me into a tight hug. The warm feelings made me return the hug.we didn't move for almost a minute. I broke the hug when I saw pikachu and heracross surrounding us protecting us from being attacked. They were injured too.

"Hey, love birds! This isn't the place to do all those stuff." Gary said which made me blush. I noticed Serena's face to be turned red too.

"Gary!" Serena yelled at Gary forcing him to stop laughing.

I noticed the mind control bean approaching Serena. I pushed her away but myself didn't get out in time. As a result, I was hit. I lost my control. I could hear my surrounding my couldn't react. It was like some ghost took control over my whole body with me trapped inside.

"Ash! No ash! Why you did this again? Why? Why? Why? Why it's you taking the pain that I should be? Ash!......"I could hear Serena yelling but I couldn't react.

Serena's pov

Ash slowly got up on his two legs which made me jump in joy, but the joy was for a few seconds only. His eyes were not normal, they were glowing red. He was moving like a zombie, approaching me, looking at me with a horrible face.

"Get that girl to us!" A scientist on the control machine commanded to which ash replied "yes master."

"What! Ash, you can't hurt me. Right?" I said trying to wake him up.

"C'mon ash, fight that machine and regain your consciousness. I know your can hear me. Do it, ash. Do it." I cheered him up but it was for no use.

"Ash! I know you from my childhood, remember our journey in kanto? " Gary said trying the same.

Ash didn't respond but continued to walk towards me. After walking a few steps he tried to punch me. I didn't move but was still untouched.

"Pikachu, you here...." I said. He was standing right in front of me in battle stance protecting me from ash. I know it's hard for pikachu to attack his own trainer but he did.

"Piii....kaaa....chuu...." Said pikachu throwing a strong thunder shock at ash. I could say it was a harsh time for ash fighting with the control and thunder at the same time. It seems to be working but needed more power. Again, a large growl was heard from charizard. Pikachu's thunder and charizard's roar had the friendly feelings which finally bought back our well known ash.

"OUCH...What happened? My head is paining like hell." Said Ash which confirmed he was alive.

I rushed to him and put my arms around his neck, pulling him into a hug. My heart not willing to let him go. I wanted to hold him forever.

"Serena! Let.......me..........breath...."

I let him go and instantly pikachu jumped in his lap.

"Hey buddy!"

"Pika chuu"

"Well that was some powerful mind controlling!" Gary said making his was to us.

"What do you mean? Was I being controlled? I don't remember anything. The last thing I remember was hiding in the Bush with you Gary." Ash said totally confused. Did he really forgot that he pushed me off the way and got himself in trouble.

"Hmmm...... Looks like a side effect of my mind control device. I don't know what else you will forget if I shoot it on full power." The scientist said with an ugly grin on his face. I didn't want to lose ash to some freaking machine. Nope.

"Go away, you are not gonna control anything else." I shouted slipping my hand in ash's hands and holding it tight.

"Let's see" the scientist spoke and began charging a beam again.
