pokemon story: the deep connection

CH 12: Hand in hand.

Ash's pov

We were searching for our pokemon but were unsuccessful till now.

"I hope Serena is alright there with Clemont and Bonnie." I murmured to myself exhaling air and feeling sad. Sad for being harsh on Serena. I wish she stays safe out there.

"Missing Serena?" Gary said with a large grin, probably larger than his face.

"Wh..what do y...you mean?" I replied blushing slightly in my thought.

"Oh c'mon ashy boy, you don't need to hide it. You know I was there about 10 metres away when you two were, like, making out."

"SHUT UP GARY!! WE WERE NOT DOING THAT!" I yelled. My face much brighter red than a magicarp.

"Oh ash boy, I am just saying that you two make a good couple."

"I SAID SHUT UP!" I yelled again, thinking what he said was right after all.

"Oh c'mon, I think you should learn something from the love-Lord Gary. I will teach you and you will become eligible to take care of your GIRLFRIEND!" Gary said pushing me with his elbow.

"THAT'S ENOUGH OF YOU GARY, PIKACHU THUNDERBOLT NOW!"

"Pikaaaa......."

"Oh, wait, no no, good pikachu, good pikachu."

"Chuuuu......"

"Aaaaaa........ Oh man. It hurts." Gary said lying flat on the floor covered in soot.

"I think you will learn from it." I said and helped him to get up on his own legs.

"Man you almost killed me. I will remember not to mess with you when your pikachu is around." Gary said and we started to walk again.

We just walked for about 10 steps when another crying for help was heard. It wasn't Gary's but was from someone I cared for. It was from someone I didn't expect to be here in the aircraft.

"Is there anyone? HELP!!"

MY heart almost sank down to my stomach. It was like someone crushed my heart under a truck. I almost lost control on myself and began running.

"Omg! It's Serena" I yelled so that pikachu and Gary understand why I began running.

The sound was coming from 3 rooms away. I ran up to the sound and what I saw almost felt like getting hit by a bus.

I ordered "pikachu, use iron tail." And pikachu jumped with his tail shining like metal.

Serena's pov

"Pilachu? You here? Where is...."

I was about to ask about ash but was then interrupted by a voice, the voice that I loved the most, the voice that always spoke in my favor, the voice that gives me warm feelings, the voice for which I could do anything.

"Serena..... Are you alright?" Ash came running to me but, what's Gary doing with him?

I couldn't do anything but to blush deep red. I jumped up and hugged ash tight once more and felt him to be hugging me back. I wasn't moving back but ash considered the situation and asked me to move.

"Are you alright Serena? Why are you here?" He asked me once more.

"Yes, I am fine." I replied with a smile and he returned the smile as well.

"Ash? I don't want to interrupt but do you think pikachu alone can handle them" Gary said with worries in his voice. I turned to pikachu and saw he was fighting the crooks all alone like a lone hero, not allowing them to reach us. He appeared as brave as ash.

"Oh, sorry pikachu, it's time charizard, go and get the party you missed." Ash said and tossed a pokeball in air and the same charizard came out with a roar.

"Charrrrrr.........."

The giant Dragon like pokemon started smashing the crooks as if a baby rumbling his toys. It was deadly to see so I slid my hand into ash's and hold it tight. I saw him turning to me and then looking down to our hands. His face turned up a little red.

Charizard smashed them all In a few minutes. pikachu helped him too. The area was soon clear. "Let's go get our pokemon back. It should be somewhere in those room." Ash said and we began to walk to the place where he pointed.

After walking for a while I witnessed Bonnie smiling and giving me a smirk. I didn't get it why Bonnie did that until I noticed that ash was still holding my hand. For once I thought to pull back my Hand but the warm feelings that his hand gave me forced me to let it go on.

"So Serena, why did you came back?" Ash asked me looking directly into my eyes.

"Well... Eh...."

"We came here because we were worried for you, ash." Clemont said it for me.

"Oh" was the only word from ash. There was an awkward silence until ash started again
"I am sorry Serena, I forced you to leave. I am really sorry."

"It's alright. I understand you did it for my safety." I replied with a smile and he returned the smile. Oh, once again his smile was giving me those warm feelings. It felt like the most important moment of my life. It was me and ash, together as a couple.

I asked gary, "hey Gary, what are you doing here?"

"It's like, I am a member of pokedetective squad and so I was on a mission to stop their evil plan." Gary replied.

"You mean you are a detective? Then why don't you use any signaling device to contact your head office?" Bonnie jumped up in excitement. Well, even I think being a detective is a cool thing.

"But Bonnie, those things only occur in movies." Ash said.

"Well, I had such a device but they took it from me along with my pokemon." Gary replied in an oversmart voice.

"Really?" Ash said. He always seems inserted when we talk about science. He also gets pumped up when Clemont invents those weird devices. But whatever, he appears cute when amazed.

Our chatting was interrupted by Clemont who stopped us.

"Hey guys, just stop."

"Hey big brother are you tired again? But we are just walking." Bonnie said looking up at her brother.Clemont was standing beside a room peeping inside.

"Nope. Look what's there inside this room."
