Chapter 24: A friend in need is a friend indeed.

Clemont's pov

Hmmm.......

The device shows that bunnelby is at rest, signifies miette isn't going anywhere. Could it be true that she isn't behind all this mess? Oh poor Bonnie and Serena!

*peep**peep**peep*

The device suddenly showed a change in bunnelby's position. I quickly came in action. I started following the direction dow shown by the gadget.

After following for almost two hours, my wonderful, extra ordinary stamina showed it's colours. I was wet in sweat! Adding the hot sun and humidity in the air, is there anyone interested in eating a deep fried clemont!?

"Tyranatrummmmm.........." a scary tyrantrum popped through the bushes giving a loud scream, as if giving his approval on my thoughts. And of course I freaked out!

"Wait! I wasn't serious about eating a fried clemont!" I shouted running away from the wild scary pokemon.

"Enough........*panting* Enough...... *panting*
Enough........"

I was too close to bunnelby and he was heading toward a tunnel through a waterfall. This running bought me very close to miette. Better if I reduce the range of the device.

I started adjusting the settings of the gadget when something unwanted happened! Trust me, even you don't want that to happen. Yes, the explosion!

"Booommmmm"

Alright! I am covered I spot with a hairstyle I don't like, my plan fails and miette must have spotted me. What could be worse?

And like every cartoon show, it started raining to make the conditions worse.

The scenario was well supported by the thunder sound echoing through the forest.

"What! You! Y...you are trying follow me?" Miette actually found me. I guess the explosion was loud enough for anyone to be attracted.

"It's your last follow clemont! Meowstic hit him hard caused he has figured out our plan." She said tossing a pokeball in the air and her meowstic appeared.

"So it means I was right about you. Now I give you thirty seconds to tell me where Serena, pikachu and bonnie are!" I said tightening my fist ready to throw it at her.

She just returned a smirk and said, "it would be better if I take you to them. Meowstic! Use hidden power."

"Intercept it with mud-shot!" I said smacking the air around me. The rain was getting denser by every minute.

Bunnelby erupted through the ground like lava through a volcano and laughed the attack resulting in an explosion in mid air.

The smoke didn't stayed for longer because of the rain and miette was visible again.

"That was not the answer I expected, miette!" I said. I saw bunnelby acting weak in the rain, because it was a ground type.

"Neither you deserve an answer!" She replied and the battle continued. Lots of explosions occurred and bunnelby finally lost just because of the rain.

And before I could switch my pokemon, I was attacked hard. I was unconscious and when I opened my eyes, I found bonnie in tears.

I slowly sat up and bonnie wrapped herself around me crying in my arms.

Ash's pov

"Taloooo......." talonflame screamed in the sky as if something wrong has happened with Clemont.

"Where?" Was the only word I uttered. I was totally freaking out seeing talonflame so flushed. Also, this dense rain isn't good for a fire type like him. The pokemon flew in the direction and I followed him with misty.

We heard many explosions as if someone was battling where we were going, but when we reached there, it was empty.

There was a water fall nearby and Clemont's gadget was lying on the ground covered in mud. I picked it up hoping it to work but it didn't.

"This was clemont's invention, he must be somewhere around." I said, still freaking out.

"It's difficult to see through this rain." And misty was complaining.

"Clemont........" I shouted at the top of my lungs but no response.

"Serena....., Bonnie......... Anyone one?" Misty screamed still no response.

"Pikachu buddy, where are you?" I said, my voice getting slower. I wasn't feel well now. I feel on my knees crying in tears.

"Ash!? Are you alright." Misty asked in concern. She put her hand on my shoulder and said "I guess you aren't giving up, are you?"

"No, never!" I said with my voice getting colder. There was a large thunder and I completely fall on ground.

"Ash!" She screamed. "You are burning in fever."

Sorry guys I didn't wanted to put up such a small chapter but somehow I found this to be the perfect spot to end the chapter.
