Chapter 23:

Ash's pov

Today we will surely find Serena. It feels so incomplete without her. I just hope she is fine along with pikachu and bonnie.

It was early morning and everyone's face was messy. No one slept properly in worry. Well, there was an exception, miette. No worries at all! How can she be so relaxed?

"Hey ash, meanwhile miette is sleeping, I wanna discuss something." Clemont said putting his hand on my shoulder.

"Sure, what is it?" I replied.

"Misty, may you please join us?" Clemont asked and misty agreed and joined us.

Clermont started"I think kidnapper is none other than miette."

"What!? Nah.... She can't be the one!" I tried to defend her but failed against the confidence in clemont's eyes.

"I have my own theory over this concept, ash. Listen, the first thing is, she is over-relaxed. And, she is not even helping us out to find them."

"Really?? I'll screw her up. How the hell she did that?" Misty said I anger putting her fist up.

Seeing misty grinding her teeth freaked him out. He went up on vibrating mode and the shaking could be seen on his glasses. So scared!

"That doesn't mean she did that! It could be team rocket or something." I said even though I felt the same about miette doing that.

Calming down, clemont said fixing his glasses, "hmmm..... Team rocket executing their plan so perfectly? And that without singing their motto a few times? impossible!"

"May be this time......"

Clemont interrupted me, not letting me finish "such tasks require the help of a psychic type pokemon and only miette has one. This is the main reasons that I suspect on her. Also ash, your pikachu wanted to say something AGAINST miette which you ignored."

"C'mon ash, he is right let me go kick her ass right now." Misty said making her way to sleeping miette. Me and Clemont trying our best to hold her in her spot.

"No misty, cool down. We need a good plan to catch her red handed." Clemont said.

I was speechless. Even I felt like questioning miette.

"So what are we gonna do?" Misty asked.

"I thought about it all night and finally came up with a plan. I will let bunnelby follow miette to find out the truth. if she had done it, she will surely visit the place where Serena and bonnie are kept." Clemont said looking confident.

"Don't count me in this shit!" I shouted.

"I know ash why you are saying that, cause you two were in a relationship. But the condition is to get strict." Misty said firmly. It was uncommon to find misty so firm.

"It's fine with me, I will do it on my own and I will do anything to find my little sister and my friend." Clemont said with a for In his eyes.

"Good morning babe!" Miette yelled, still in her sleeping bag.

"Yeah, good morning." I replied but my morning wasn't good without my pal pikachu.

"Hey Clemont, is the breakfast ready?" She yelled back.

"Oh! My dear fucking princess needs breakfast! I'll give her what she deserves!" Misty said angry again. Clemont again started freaking out. We managed to hold her down otherwise she could have kicked miette right on her face.

"No food until my sister returns!!" Clermont yelled back which freaked miette out.

Soon we started our exploration of the forest. As said by Clemont, miette didn't make a move to help us find pikachu. After walking a little away from our camp site, clemont let out bunnelby.

"Listen bunnely, I want you to follow miette wherever she goes. And don't worry cause I will be following your track with my new invention from far behind so she doesn't find me following her." Clemont ensured.

"Bunnel bunnelby......." the pokemon said.

Clermont pulled out a device, much like a PSP with a screen at the centre and a radar like thing on the top.

"So here comes my latest invention, clemontic gear on! The future is now, thanks to science! I never thought we would encounter a situation like this one but still. Presenting, bennelby tracks detector. It detects the tracks made by a bunnelby and presents it as a map on the screen." He said shifting his glasses.

And I was impressed as usual but then asked a question, "are you sure it won't blow up?"

"Yes I am." He replied flatly. He gave a nod to his pokemon and his pokemon jumped into the ground. No tracks were left above the ground as the pokemon moved beneath the ground. That explains why Clemont invented the device.

"I guess you aren't coming with me, ash. So it's me alone. See you this evening if I stayed alive. And if something happens to me, then you will be left with misty so please don't give up." Clemont said with wet eyes.

"Don't worry my friend, I will never give up until the end." I replied and he went I the direction showed by his device.

I couldn't let my friend jump in danger like that, he was alone and if someone tried to kidnap him too, then I won't be able to forgive myself.

I pulled a pokeball out and tossed out in the air. White light emerged and Talonflame appeared.

"Talooo....."

"I need you help talonflame, Clemont is all alone so I want you to follow him. Stay high enough so that he won't see you. If something happens to him come back to me as soon as you can. Can you do it?"

"Talonnnn......." the pokemon said in determination.

"I knew I could trust you." I said and let him go high in the sky.

Misty was already searching in the woods so I went to her to help her out. It won't take long Serena, I will find you, I will surely find you. And the one who has planned all this is gonna pay for this.
